Crowd's favorite comment from Mullen: "got a text right after a tough
(LSU) loss. That text was from Dylan Favre. Dylan told him, "if I was
your QB, I would've scored.""
Quite the applause from that one.

just has the intangibles of being a winner and then explained the text message.

I bet most athletes aren't the "late bloomer" type. Not saying it can't happen, but the kids then tend to be the best athletes in high school are the kids that matured more quickly than their peers. He may have some growth left, but I doubt it.

the older I get the bigger my nut sack gets. It's evolving into a hornets nest size sack one day at a time. If only our players could do the same, of course without all the wrinkles and smelly nut sack smell that is. Unless of course the smelly nut sack gives them more ability.

He'd have also made the same dumbass mistake of not pitching the ball to Boobie like he was supposed to. I like the confidence, but here we go aGAIN....

it's hardly something that you can count on- like weight gain.

That's why I always roll my eyes anytime Gene says something like- "So and so is 5'8"- but he could very well grow to 6'2".

I want you to come to a game in the fall.. Let's say the Auburn game on Thursday night to open the season. I'd also like for you to wait around after the game and talk to Dylan afterhe comes out of the locker room. Then I'd like for you to introduce yourself and actually have a conversation with the kid.

Let him know all the things you've said about him (see above quote if you can't remember). The kidis a winner. He will do whatever it takes to find a way. Obviously he haswhat it takes. If he didn't Mullen wouldn't have called him every week toget him in Maroon and White. Just be a "bulldog" andlove our team. Why bash anyone that wears our colors.

But then again, you are fromSouth Panola. I forgot to bend the knee to you before my post. Pleaseforgive me, sir

I thought he didn't commit until well after the season was over, but I could be wrong.

I guess I don't understand why if he was such a winner he didn't get offered until Newton signed with AU?

Can't we just agree this is just coach speak on signing day. On signing day if you have a highly rated class on Scout or Rivals you play that up a little bit and talk about Top 25 class and how it shows how the hard work your staff put in is working. If your class isn't ranked in the Top 25, you talk about character and how you don't recruit stars you recruit players and these services don't always get it right.

I don't think we are saying he is the next Tim Tebow. Mullen just said one of the things you look for, especially in a QB, is an air of confidence. Mullen said as soon as he opened the phone after the game, the first thing he saw was a text from Favre that was sent right after the game was over.

It's coach speak. I thought he did a pretty good job. He knows that a percentage of the fanbase is not happy that we signed Favre as our only quarterback. So, he's going to talk him up.

I also like the way he dodged the question someone asked about how hard we were going to hit Cam Newton when we play him(at least that's what I think the guy asked, I couldn't really hear the questions that well).

I also like The South much more than the Ag museum.

That after a gut wrenching loss to LSU, got a text from a high school kid, saying "I would have scored" would have pissed me off. A rim shot from a high school kid that we passed on after losing the way you did against LSU, and somehow that is a good thing? Can you honestly say you would behappy if some high school kid was basically giving you **** after such a brutal loss.

I would have sent a text message back saying something like, "When you are playing against Belhaven or Millsaps its not hard to run over a 220 lb DT, but this is the S.E.C. and by the way, I didn't see you run over Jackson Prep. *****"

But Croom say he must be able to make the tackle after throwing a pick.

I know if I would have read the thing, I would have called Favre up and said to shut the 17 up.

I really think Favre felt like he had to talk himself up. Pun intended.
