Lamar School traveled to Enterprise for their first public school game. Lamar smoked Enterprise 56-14

Jackson Academy traveled to Northeast Lauderdale . JA beat Northeast 32-21

on my way back from Clarkdale v. Sebastopol. Enterprise was getting man handled. I didn't expect that to happen at all.

I dont think Enterpise hadmore than 3 first downs in the first half. Lamar was as big ,faster , and better coached. It was never close. Enterpise tried to run up the middle with 10 in the box. dumb dumb dumb Lamar spread them out and took advantage of there speed. Mac Barnes out coached them.

Lamar is young this year too. Witt Haggard would have hung a 100 on them.

I heard JA was suposed to play NW Rankin this year but NW backed out saying they had "nothing to gain"

That's pretty crappy of NWR if true.


I'm just glad to see JA finally play a public school team for the first time in forever.

obviously jamborees can be misleading for numerous reasons, but its still very interesting.

As I watch this SP-Hoover game, it seems that in MS if you can throw a pass...any pass.... you will have a chance to beat any MHSAA school. It's pretty disappointing to see how poorly coached many of this "big-time" MHSAA actually school are.

For whatever that's worth. As bad as MC looked against them, OB looked really good. I was impressed with them.
