the only ones are in the south endzone. They are going to see how this year goes and then adjust.

And this...

You are correct.

The worst was the person questioning if we really needed new boards at the Hump. WE ARE...

Good to know. I had asked. I thought we were getting the 'adjustable surround sound' or something.

Too bad. Because we could have the "fight, fight, fight" cheer going on THREE different timings ***

I somewhat agree with the sentiment. The Farm Bureau logo on the baseball game cameras is a bit much.

Agreed. On TV that's all you get. That logo. The amount of money they paid for that can't be too much... Heck, the overall beautification can't have been too much. Just pay out of pocket for it with no advertising. I'm all for padding our budget but sometimes it's best to be left alone. Not having a big *** advertisement there is worth the $5,000+ they gave up.

It honestly doesn't bother me. I do agree sometimes less is more but a lot of MLB teams sell that space. Just another way to generate revenue that doesn't really affect the fans.

Not fixing the speakers at this time makes no sense to me. Spend $75M on a stadium improvement, buy "another" big video board that we could do without, and then don't make the sound as good as it could be?

What if I told you that they decided not to upgrade the lighting on the East Side of DWS?

Stricklin actually said that we're going this year with what we have -- and seeing where we're at. Which I took to mean we are simply out of time with getting that type of thing set up and going correctly, which is easily understandable with the majority of the expansion not actually opening until July/August. With the influx of cash we'll be seeing, I'll be shocked if a distributed sound system isn't a fast tracked priority in the near future. We just "thought" it was bad before -- when we didn't yet have a bunch of endzone echoes....

Comment From Dr Jim Jones
will the upper rows in Scoreboard Club have problems with noise level from Video board
10:37

Mike Richey:
There are no speakers in the north end zone scoreboard they will be in the south as they have been.

Comment From AC
I know there was talk of installing a new sound system throughout Davis Wade Stadium, much like there is now at Dudy Noble Field. Is this still in the plans?
10:43

Scott Stricklin:
In my opinion, a distributed sound system at Davis Wade needs to happen. Right now it's a matter of seeing how the current system performs in the completed expansion, then, if a change is needed, determining where that project fits among funding priorities.

So you don't think the second video board is needed? Maybe not "needed" (do we need one at all?), but from my new CL seats I won't be able to see the existing Dawgzillatron, or at least nothing more than the edge of the screen. And given that I won't be able to see much of the game from my seat, the only option is to watch the game on the new video board. You could say ... don't come to the game and watch it at home on television. True ... but I'd already pledged and bought seats before I knew the extent of seating changes.

Who is Mike Richey? He's the guy who called me this morning with my new seating assignments, and the one who got both barrels of dissatisfaction from me. I'll bet the poor guy got plenty of earfuls today. I assumed he was just a messenger ... sounds like he might be a big dog in the BDC or athletic department. Had I known that, I'd really have let him have it ....

if the color was wildly different and it was a busy logo, i would hate it. im pretty sure the one behind home plate is maroon instead of the red arkansas uses. it kinda blends into the background for the most part, and if its worth it financially to do it, im ok, but i would be interested to know the financials on it so that determination could be made.

Lefty vs. Righty

Put it on the other side?? What would that solve? If the batter is a lefty, you'd then be in the same situation. As it is right now, with a right handed batter....you see the MSFB logo. With a left handed batter...you see the M-over-S logo.

Move on, people....

Um... no. Lefty or righty, you see the logo. Don't be dumb... they position the camera to the left of the batters eye (looking at it from the press box). That puts the camera angle... no matter who is at the plate... in the same general spot. Lefty vs. righty doesn't matter, you ALWAYS see the State Farm logo.
