Coach, you were wondering which accusation?

REDACTED,

As you are no doubt aware, Mississippi State monitors message boards continually in an attempt to get the jump on rumors, most of which turn out to be false. However, there can be no doubt that a percentage of what you see begin as an online rumor can turn into fact very quickly. Further, even if the rumor is not verified, just seeing it online can become fodder for various blogs and legitimate news agencies to attempt to invesitigate.

To that end, there is a post on your board this morning that refers to Coach Rick Stansbury as "2nd biggest buyer of players in SEC basketball" (http://sixpackspeak.yuku.com/sreply/185847). Furthermore, this is not the first time this poster has made reference to Coach Stansbury in such terms. We would like to speak with this individual immediately to determine what information, if any he has, and to put down these accusations. As you well know, at no time in his tenure has Mississippi State been accused of violating NCAA rules regarding extra benefits for scholarship athletes. If you are aware of this person's identity, please email me with his contact information.

Finally, considering the recent promotion run by the Bulldog Club in conjuction with your message board, we are disappointed with the fact that you would allow the disparaging of our program in this manner. We understand that people will criticize our coaches and players, justly or not, but for anyone to accuse Mississippi State of outright buying players is outrageous. We understand that you are not an official "mouthpiece" of the University, nor do you wish to be, but we ask that you help us in some small way with this type of rumor mongering going forward.
Thank you for your time this morning, and again, please relay that information to me if you or any of your members have it.
