We apparently have the "most depth and overall talent" that Mullen has ever head along with what is most likely the best overall schedule, yet we're going to be 47th this season while we finished 15th and 38th in the previous 2 years?

'experts' thank they suck... is all i get from that

on offense no mention of josh robinson, joe morrow, malcolm johnson, or an experienced o line returning while adding 2 juco's
on defense they will have to wait their turn?? we rotate 8-12guys on the line, 6-9 lb, and play a host of dbacks do they even check our stats/ watch our games
on special teams they don't even list the kid that will more than likely be our kicker and punter in Devon Bell

but i love this statement
But life in the SEC West can be very difficult. The Bulldogs are 0–12 vs. division rivals not named Ole Miss ...what rebel wrote this crap!

New QB,OT, Centerand RB's with unproven WR's. That's about right evenwith a stellar defense that State should have.

Thing is, State plays several teams ahead of it on these list that I feel they can beat. If they do so, you won't be seeing them rankedin the 40's very long.

You can't get good, accurate, in depth coverage on your team when you reside in lil old Missippi. Small market = We ain't diggin into your team's detailed info. Which for me = I'm not buying their ****

..one of the dumbest lines in all of sports writing is: " There’s a chance that [insert team] might be much improved without seeing much progress — if any — in the win column."

That's right up there with the politician bragging about how much he hates government, so therefore you should vote him into a government job, so he may work in that thing he hates most.

I realize both the sportswriter & politician aren't required to make sense, but if MSU is much improved, it will be impossible to not see progress in the win/loss column. That's a self-evident conclusion, but I realize sportswriters (and politicians) don't do self-evident conclusions.

We could be a better team, still lose to the big guns, but be much more competitive. Why is that confusing?<div>
</div><div>Hell, we were much, much better in 2009 than 2008, but only enjoyed one more win.</div>

making our record better. There is no improving those games and losing them

It was a ****** preview.

and retaliated with a chicken **** article. Athlon hasn`t been anything but a photo album <albeit a pretty good one> for years.

I remember the first issue they published back in the 70s, it was very slick and had a dynamite cheerleader pic section but they have never given MSU any love. Maybe Mullen can change their attitude.

Bulldogs are meaner without the preseason wool to slow them down. I fully expect the pundits to be surprised. We have never finished ranked when ranked preseason.
