That is one of the worst things I've ever seen.

I'd love to have a room with my MSU prints on it, and my TV, but my vision is 180 degrees from the direction he went.

Turrible.

Not a room you'd be in every day. Sure wouldn't do that to a living room (and he didn't either). But if you're gonna have a sports-oriented man cave, that is freaking awesome.

Though it sounds strange, the one requirement I would put on a place like that would be a bathroom with a urinal in it.

The number 1 thing in man sports cave is the TV. You set that up and build around it. That's why we have a 120" HD tv in our duck camp. Everything else was built around it -- making it the perfect man zone. He had some nice touches but no since having a man cave where you have to strain to see the TV.

From what little you can tell about the neighborhood, looks like he overbuilt for the subdividsion. Doesn't appear to be a high end neighborhood.

I'd have more tvs and a little more seating but the rest of it is great.

One thing I would have done different is have a lot more seating for the TV. And another thing is I probably would have gone for another TV as well.

Does the guy have only one friend? Where is the third person going to sit?
That TV setup looks pathetic. All that money spent on the "non essential" memorobilia and he couldn't even hide the spider's web of cables?

And that piece of **** cardboard poker table with only two stools. I guess all his buddies like to stand around.

Crap.

It does need either more tvs and/or a bigger tv, and DEFINITELY needs more seating, but other than that it's legit as it gets. Put MSU stuff in there and everyone on this board would love that room.

I'm considering a similar idea, turning my garage into my bar/play room, but it won't be that ugly. And will have a TV on every wall. It will also have the golden tee, pool table and kegerator. And hopefully skee ball.

are just jealous or letting the LSU hate cloud their judgement. And maybe it's just me, but the TV would be fine. I don't need a movie theater to watch a game. The guy did a great job and although there are things to find that he could have done better, you have to admit that it's a great damn man cave.

should he take out what looks like load bearing beams in the middle of the room? It does have a poker table. It's an old 2 car garage not a full basement.

As for golden tee, I'd rather have DEFENDER STARGATE

I agree the TV needs to be bigger, and add some more seating, but incredible job. Especially where he started from. I think I would like to do something like that, but then I realize I have no carpentry skills or money.

It is not a man cave, but can someone post a picture of the tv that somebody made to look like our jumbotron in the junction area? I finally saw it in real life, and it was impressive. Especially when i realized all the extras it had with it.

I've got an old *** two car garage, and all that would fit fine. And it BARELY fits two cars, they can't both open the doors simultaneously.

My vision of a man cave involves a home theater with nine recliners in a "U" shape facing the tv. The main tv will be flanked by two smaller (but still large) tvs so that we can watch other games at the same time. A full bar, room for a pool table and so forth. And tastefully decorated. Lots of wood and leather.<div>
</div><div>Something like:</div><div>
</div><div>

<div>
</div><div>
</div></div><div>I would move those recliners back. Put three more on each side (facing each other) for a total of nine. Include smaller tvs on each side of the larger one, room for a full bar and a pool table behind the viewing area and that would be very close to my vision. I'm not jealous at all nor is hate clouding my judgment. I just feel that LSU room is gaudy and tacky. But, it's a LSU person so I guess gaudy and tacky is to be expected.</div>

Take out the God awful colors and the neon beer signs and I'd love it. I almost had one of these in a house we were building before we found out we were moving. Now, the kids got a play room and I got jack ****.

If you gave me the budget he used to create that room, I guarantee you I could make a better man cave. There is just too much **** going on in that room for me.

of course it doesn't live up to the hypo in our heads. But when it comes down to actually getting it done, he did a nice job.

Frankly, the memorabilia makes it. You could add 5 tvs and a ski ball but if you didn't have the memorabilia, it would pretty much be a poor man's chuck e cheese.

letting the LSU hate cloud their judgement
Guilty as charged. I think this looks like the waiting room for Hell.

As far as coolest man-caves go, the best I've seen has a old-west saloon set up in the basement (complete with fake front entrance with the swinging doors) for poker night.
This one certainly isn't the worst I've seen. A house we looked at had a half Bengals, half UK motif that was retina scorching.

With some obvious tweaks like a sectional couch, poker table, etc. There is a way to display sports/team memorabilia and not have it look like a 12 year olds bedroom.

I've dated many lsu women with Daddys that have lsu man caves. That is one of the more elaborate ones I've seen. You would not believe
some of the gaudy, tacky setups my eyes have witnessed. Many of these corndogs with lsu man caves never set foot on campus other than attend football games.

Either something like that, or as the guy above said a lot of wood and leather.

Has nothing to do with LSU. If you make that Mississippi State themed, it wouldlook like amaroon and white flea market instead of a purple and gold one.

When I think sports memorabilia, I think framed prints, signed balls/helmets/etc. Not commerative coke bottles and Miller lite signs.

Well there could obviously be things he did differently, but I think he did a nice job. Yeah a couple more TVs or a bigger TV is obvious something that could be better, but if I had to critique one thing about it, it would be the seating. He needs more recliners, but overall it's a great job. It's a place he can get out of the house and chill with a couple of buddies. I doubt he's trying to accommodate 25guests.

One thing I would say he is missing is the corndog machine. I don't believe I can see in it these pictures. It must be there though right?

After looking at the pictures again...I definitely think he was going for more of a bar theme with all the neon lights and what not. He went all out on the bar and memorabilia and the rest was sort of secondary. He definitely needs more seating which he could add, but the TV isn't small by any means. He took pictures from across the room and the TV seemed fine. I think the room is actually kinda small if you take away the bar area. He tried to do too much with too little space, but still did a great job. He needs to add another couch and it'll be complete.
