I just don't get Croom's insistence of not playing Ducre. I think he said that Dixon will only come out when Dixon says he is ready to come out. I like Dixon but to **** on Ducre is mind boggling.

Croom tried to get more snaps for backups Christian Ducre and the speedy Robert Elliott during the team's disappointing 1-4 start. But Elliott's now gone with a season-ending knee injury and Ducre has disappointed coaches with missed assignments.

This summer, I felt that Dixon and Ducre would be the one-two punch that other schools enjoyed (Williams-Brown, McFadden-Jones) for us this year, obviously to a lesser degree than. But, I still felt like it was our strength.

Now, it's become "it's all on Dixon. We may play Bonner ahead of Ducre."

I don't know if it's because Croom didn't recruit Ducre, or what it is. But, you and the majority of us see a back that can move two people if they're not set when he hits them. He hits the hole faster and harder than Dixon, because Dixon still looks for that shifty route instead of where the play is (supposedly) developing.

Croom isn't a coach, he's a father. He wants to keep his "family" intact. Unfortunately, Ducre is the poor neighbor's son that MSU took in, that Croom treats the same as the illegitimate !%@*@ that his ***** (MSU) had when he married her.

1 game that stands out to me was the GT game. Dixon ran what a 75 or 80 yarder and then Croom keeps him in the game to let dixon run a pitch to the left? I'm sitting there thinking the whole time where the hell is Ducre or even Elliot. Either one of those guys are in and we score a TD on that play. Dixon was gassed and still got 5 yards on that play. Of course, this is also a coaching staff that had to be told what plays to run in the Liberty Bowl by Carroll, so that we could score to win the game. WE ARE!!! M-STATE!!!

Ducre consistently runs harder than Dixon. Doesn't that make sense to you to limit his playing time? Come on, get in the Croom state-of-mind.

Ducre's pass blocking skills are just NOT pretty enough for Croom (sarcasm).

I could be wrong...

Point being, I doubt Croom got to talk to his momma and promise her a fine young man and all that with the Ducre family.

Edit: Damnit, I can't believe I screwed up the simple concept of replying to a post. Apologies to all for my blatant stupidity.

Ducre probably ate the last rib that Croom was eyeballing at some dinner and Croom hasn't liked him since. We all know it is all about Croom's pride. What I don't understand about Croom is that he is always talking about integrity and character. He seems to be very prideful however, and pride is not a trait of someone who is full of character and integrity. He needs to get off his pedestal and start thinking less about himself and more about Mississippi State.

...maybe they are trying to send a message. Kind of doubt it, though, since we've heard this talk before.
