they were going to see if he could pitch this weekend. Also, last I heard, there is nothing structurally wrong and that the max that he is expected to be out at this point is two weeks, which would put him at pitching against Ole Miss at the latest according to the latest time table. If/when he comes back, I expect him to be on a strict pitch count. So, we'll see what we can get out of him- if we get five innings, we should consider oursleves fortunate.

So, as soon as this weekend, and as late as the Ole Miss series barring any new set-backs, which are always possible with MSU.

My personal opinion, and mine only- I would look for Routt to pitch this weekend, and not that I necessarily agree with it. I kind of get the vibe that we're starting to get desperate after getting swept by Arkansas. And I have no solid information on this- it's just a hunch, which could very well be wrong.

The first paragraphs are true as I understand it, though.

maybe its because they had a bad pitching staff, but we have had a lot of strikeouts against some bad pitchers.

There is more to it than can he, will he or does he want to pitch. Rumblings within about is he hurt and what is really the best solution. It's a mess!
