I just wanted to start a thread to support FearTheBeard. I really wish you and your family well and have you in my prayers. It makes me sad to hear anyone having to go through this kind of ordeal. Stay strong friend God is good.

Thank you very much! I appreciate it and all the well wishes we've received.
My wife is a fighter with a Type A personality. Before the most recent setback physical therapy wanted her to sit up on the edge of the bed for 5 minutes. She did it for 12. They said normally people who have been in bed for 2 months can't stay up for more than 30 seconds.

OADD, I did receive your email. I just responded.
As to a fund, we may open one later. Our insurance is really good. Our out of pocket annual max is 4200, which we hit before she even arrived at the hospital bc her life flight cost $27k. Considering her total bill is well over a million dollars and inching closer to 2 million, we're pretty lucky. We're also lucky we don't have an annual max insurance will cover. Thank you for asking and offering!

The breathing tube came out today and she had a really good day overall! Looking forward to some more good days ahead!

Here's what FTB sent to me on the 24th:
"She is doing amazing! It's hard to believe she was in the ICU on a breathing tube a week ago. They took over 20 lbs of fluid off and now she can breathe soooo much easier. She has almost all of the drains out and only has a tube feed and oxygen going into her. She'll hopefully be discharged to a skilled nursing facility in a couple weeks. She'll be there for a few weeks and then go to an in-patient rehab facility for 4-6 weeks. I'm hoping she'll be home by February."
And on the 25th she sat up for 20 minutes. FTB and his wife are planning a TV marathon tonight of their favorite shows.
It's so great to hear all the improvement. God continue to bless them.

She seems like a true warrior and FTB she is very lucky to have such a wonderful loving husband. Prayers and blessings to both of you.
She is doing a lot better and making progress every day. she is off her feeding tube and receiving physical therapy. She is strong willed and has lots of support. I know the family is appreciative of our thoughts and prayers. Hopefully FTB will be back to give a full update. OFC
FTB emailed me and wanted me to tell everyone 'hi'. He's got his hands full with working, and traveling to see his wife. His wife is getting better every day, but she still has a long way to go. She has a great support group with their families, doctors, nurses, etc. Really special people...and FTB...what a guy. Keep them in your prayers.

Thanks, OADD for giving the update! I also want to thank OADD for making a video for my wife! He made a video featuring our 2 German Shepherds and my wife absolutely LOVED IT! It brought one of the biggest smiles to her face that I've seen since the accident. OADD is a great man!

Soon she will be going to one of the best in-patient physical rehab facilities in the Northwest to learn how to walk again. We're hopeful she'll be coming home some time in late February.
