Fulmer isn't my first choice but may be best fit here...

Everyone knows if they are honest with themselves that we're prob never gonna see the kind of skill position players come to State that the Floridas and Oklahomas of the world have unless a pipe dream comes true (Peterson), so looking at this thing subjectively, Fulmer's style (power running football with strong defense) may be a good option here. It's the only way we've won in the past. Like I said, I'm not advocating it but it wouldn't be the worst thing that could happen by any means.</p>

That is not an option

& personally, I think Byrne knows it is not, & it is not even on his long list

Just b/c it has worked out well for Ole Miss w/ Nutt, does not mean it needs to be an option for us to consider today b/c there are similarities in the situation.

I said "Fulmer's not our next coach is he?" He said, "No, but I'm trying to talk Jimmy into it." I don't think there's anything to the Fulmer rumor.

Fulmer has made plenty of money at UT to retire, surely he wouldn't even want to come here...

Why in the world would we want him? Hopefully we get someone who can recuit, coach offense, and inspire the fanbase. Fulmer would be like bring back Bellard, a retread.

Your buddy works for one of the most powerful agents in college sports, and he is feeding you information on what is going on with this coaching search, which you are then posting on internet message boards for all to see? I guess you can see where this might be hard to believe. If it is true, your buddy is going to be looking for a job as soon as Sexton finds out about this.

Fulmer would be the best we've had, but he would be a horrible choice. I'd rather have a look at the other candidates.
