Some usually good teams just get bad for awhile.
Michigan, USC, Texas and others

How about, our record against former BigEast teams since joining the Big Ten?

Temple 3-0
Miami 1-0
Syracuse 1-0
VT 1-0
BC 1-1

Even when we struggle in the Big Ten we still wipe the floor with the old ones. Looking forward to continuing the revenge tour in September in Lane
You forgot the bowl victory against Miami….

They caught lightning in a bottle with Vic and a few years after, and I’ve been largely pedestrian prior to and post that era

Seems legit and according to my VT buddy, wants to be there for the long-haul

If you can lock down the 757 and control the DMV like they did during the Beamer glory years, they can be a perennial top 20 program

Congrats on the Pinstripe win.

However, want to clarify a couple of facts. Miami had 7 starters decide not to play in that football game including their starting QB Tyler Van Dyke.

Somewhat similar situation for Pitt Peach Bowl Game. Starting Pitt QB Kenny Pickett (No. 1 NFL Draft Pick) opted out of playing and also MSU All American RB Ken Walker decided not to play.

Not going to criticize the decision these players made but it can have an affect on the final outcome.

Just check the Vegas odds after the decisions were made.

In this new era of NIL and Big NFL money, how many more athletics will opt out so they do not run the risk of injury remains to be seen.

The Rutgers vs VT game will be interesting.

HAIL TO PITT!!!!

MSU All American RB Walker, not Pitt.

Thanks for letting us know that some Miami players sat the bowl game out. We don’t really pay attention to our bowl game matchups. We are pretty casual around here.

Absolutely - but to be fair, we’re also counting the WF bowl game loss where we were not only missing a ton of players but only had like a day of practice after literally packing it in for the season filling in as an alternate for A&M. So there’s that.

That BC win I wouldn’t call wiping the floor. Nor the ‘cuse win.

We're undefeated vs former BE foes under Schiano 2.0. I really want that to continue.

Don't try throwing logic into this emotional conversation. :).

We cannot control UM players that opted out of the game. Our guys could only control the UM players that opted to play. & That is exactly what they did; controlled the game being played and brought home Bowl Win.
