it has come to my understanding that the CL could not publish Gardner's Parade All-American selection since they are not a Parade affiliate.

Worked in journalisma long time and never heard of being unable to print newsworthy information because of affiliation. Only when info is embargoed is it held and then noone is to publish it. Maybe there is something I am missing but that doesn't sound right.
If true, that's the dumbest logic I've ever heard. Newspapers are supposed to be unbiased and report the news and not just report the news of those companies that they're affiliated with. That would be like ESPN not covering the Super Bowl because it's on Fox. Just asinine.

Brandon must not know that he can get information from other sites besides the CL... He should just read The DJ Blog from Brad Locke and just report that info, oh wait he does, just a few days later...
