Why at Mississippi State can we not have consistency with dog or dawg? Look at the "Dawg Walk" pic. In the picture itself they spell it DogWalk and the other Dawg Walk. Just choose one and go with it.

make the old office furniture look ****** - like when you buy/build a new house, all your furniture looks crappier than it did in the old house.

Overall, I like the effort. It seems someone in the AD's office "gets it." Now if we could start proofing **** like "Dog Walk". Personally, I think we need to drop "Dawg" and go strictly with Dog.

Go with "Dog".

However, I like the emphasis on the Egg Bowl. Maybe Alabama won't be the biggest game of the year for our coaches now.

(all caps intended)

And they give you disparately spelled names for the same f-ucking thing, then you should get the whole damn thing for free.

This Advent branding firm in Nashville should be fired.

but let's get real, we don't have a ton of football history. Might as well put an emphasis on beating our rivals.

I think its well done except for the "Dog"/"Dawg" fiasco. Can't we just spell it DOG?

I had a historic piss about 5 minutes ago.

But as TR said, it's definitely a great way of thinking.

that it was preliminary pictures. No idea what that actually means once they are on the wall.

That shows two different names of the same damn thing anymore than you should have to approve a blue print of a bridge that will fail.

Branding firms exist so that their expertise in showcasing the best aspects of an organization can augment and consistently reinforce a drumbeat of your success, all the while you can just keep doing what you're doing. Those guys were brought in to do a visual representation of the Bulldog "brand" as it relates to football. And they failed. Royally.

Yeah...it's a just a typo. And if it were some signs for a playoff game between Tupelo and South Panola it would be a funny pic on Failblog.

But coming from pros, it's absolutely inexcusable.

Solutions

Advent helped Mississippi State by stamping their football facilities with Coach Mullen's vision, helping to tell the story of what MSU football means to its players, coaches, students, and fans. By implementing inspiring messaging and telling unique stories (like the famous "Dawg Walk"), Advent was able to convey the MSU tradition and vision throughout the premise.

maybe it's because I grew up with a lot more UGA people than MSU. Well, zero MSU people that I can think of actually.

that someone snapped a few shots after the final graphics went up. If they decide to use the MSU job as part of their sales portfolio, they'll have professional shots done to showcase in high quality how crappy they really are at their job. The graphics are up. Nothing preliminary about those. That's not to say that they can't/won't change it. But these are final graphics.

Dear God, man... If you're the one proofing all this stuff, fire yourself from that job and hire competent people. This was embarrassing two screw ups ago. And it's still happening.

TR, you can say what you want about the spelling, but all of the "old furniture" is actually brand new, just put in this summer. The football office's main entrance (shown above) and Mullen's secretary both had new leather couches and chairs replace the ugly, out-dated furniture that used to be there. It all came from Miskelly's, and may have been a gift considered Chuck is a big supporter (just a guess, though), but nonetheless is very nice and expensive stuff.

And we can ***** and complain about the different spelling of "dog", but we should at least appreciate that the football office looks 10x better than it did just a few months ago. It was really showing it's age (ugly wallpaper everywhere). This, at least, is a big upgrade.</p>

Because to those on the outside looking in, the University is the one that will be ridiculed in the end.

I looked at the website and it looks pretty awesome. In my opinion, some people are spending too much time bashing this Advent company when we all know the client has the final say- after all they are buying it and it would be bad business to do it any other way.

Who cares anyway- maybe it will help the coaches agree on "dawg" or "dog", but regardless the place looks way better than before!
