Making the NCAA's as a 9th seed is great accomplish given the completely dismal last 20 years of USM basketball. I sure don't expect to beat KSU, but hey, they play the games for a reason. Sorry your team collapsed at the end of the year. Our team did a little collapsing of their own at the end of the year, but they did enough early in the year to get it done. USM's record against tourney teams was 4-2. Not bad.

Yep I agree. Don't remember the tournament we went to in '91 so this is my first dance. State has all the talent in the world. They'll be back.

You have to admire determination like that. Hope they make a run, but it will be tough. USM has had a little slide here at the end of the season that may not bode well but maybe they turn it around. I wouldn't surprise me if they did.

We didn't play well down the stretch. It didnt help that our best guard's mother died a couple of weeks ago and he's played poorly since. Shots just have not been falling and we leave the opposing team a lot of wide open shots from behind the arc. With KSU's inside presence we must shoot the ball well, take care of the ball, and make our free throws.

You have to give props to Eustacy though. He inherited a program that was ran into the gutter, with no talent, and possibly the worst coliseum in the nation. The fact that this year's team was picked by many to finish in the bottom third of the league preseason proves why he was CUSA COTY.
