i think Lca turns some heads with a win against GW this week. Gw was young last year and should be good this year but don't know if they have enough weapons on offense to keep up with Lca because I don't know if the defense will be able to stop LCAs offense

I value your opinion but what leads you to believe that? You know GW held Heritage's offense in check 2 weeks ago? Gimme your 3 keys to a LCA win and I'll give you my 3 keys for GW.

GW 3 keys
1. Wear LCA down. Depth for y'all will be a huge reason GW beats you. GW has 5 RBs (Wesley Graves, Weber Harris, Curtis Waller, Carl Poole and Los Poole who is the QB). We have ZERO lineman that goes both ways and our special teams (we have a kicker who is probably good from 38-40 yards out) looks to be the best since 07. Back to the RBs, we'll take one out and put another in..You still have to account for our receiving corps. They'll have you worn out by the 3rd quarter.
2. GW's defense is in mid season form.. Yeah your o-line is big but guess what?? Our D is faster and stronger. Zy Gunter and Carl Poole Jr. and Curtis Waller are probably the best LB corps in 4a North (or West whatever you call it). I'd expect Carl Poole to have a 15+ tackle game. J Henderson and Deshawn Wallace lead an impressive secondary. They did a great job of limiting Heritage's high powered offense. No offense bro, but I doubt you guys have any Elijah Davis's.
3. We're not Appomattox. No disrespect to Graves or Scruggs but gimme Los Poole and his twin brother Carl every day of the week. Add Harris, Wallace, Matthew Mease, and sophomores Wes Graves (has interest from multiple D1 schools) and Shawn Watlington (who's gonna be a D1 player by his senior year) and we just have too many weapons for you bro.
Is this guy serious? I was going too be quite about this game but this will not even be a close game GW will win big! This is problay the best team that GW has had on both sides of the ball in the last 10 years you need to do some more research before you say LCA will win! GW has the Best QB that I've seen in years! 42-14 GW wins!!!
@Lewis918777 I agree 200% and I won't get too heady like some fans. GW's main goal is win so we can get home field advantage come November. One week at a time. You and I do believe that this is going to be a special year for our Eagles! I'm drinking the Kool Aid lol!!

I saw a little of LCA's footage on Hudl and they look like a D3 college team, which is a compliment. I just don't believe they'll have the depth. Doesn't mean that they're not a good team, I just think GW has too many weapons to throw at them.
So you mean to tell me because they played Appomattox to a 28-24 halftime led and they can play with GW !!! No disrespect to Appomattox but this game will be a blowout! GW has only lost 2 games in week 1 since 1994 so this game will be no different! LCA might be good in 3A but not with the big boys!!!

I think that official welcome took place two years ago when Millbrook beat them 65-18 in their introduction to the public school playoffs.
I read in the News and Advance that this will be LCA's smallest team as far as numbers goes. They have 7 linemen on the whole team. I thought Rustburg lacked depth last year but LCA has them beat.
DSH, if your research is correct then LCA will not be a factor in Class 4. Depth on the interior lines is essential to success.

Ya'll better quit fretting Wikki. I told Mike Salem earlier that she was on the way to Salem to take care of him and was well armed. The gals (Wikki and Spartan Force) have been on fire tonight. I am going to play it safe and stay east of Appomattox for a while.
LCA has talent, and I think Carter Bradley is going to be really good. They are very well coached and have beautiful stadium to play in. However, the first two games are just brutal. @DSH has illustrated the talent that GW has, and you will find him to be very knowledgeable about several teams and players. I appreciate your confidence, but you may want bring in the reigns. It could be a very distinct possibility that the Bulldogs open the season 0-2.
Thanks brother. I'm not taking ANYTHING for granted this week. LCA looks to have an offense that controls and eats up the clock, something that GW struggles with. They have a lot of possession receivers that will challenge our very good, but still a little unproven secondary. Our QB Los Poole had 2 rushing and 4 passing TDs in game action in the preseason, we have the backs, and a very good receiving corps led by Sam Branch who was our QB the past 2 years, will help us score a lot of points and have a lot of big plays. As much as me and Lewis love Poole at QB, one thing that scares me is that he holds the ball a little too long and takes some hits that he shouldn't take. We know that he has an absolute cannon, but it still looks like he's developing timing with his receivers. Our defense is very very good but LCA's has a big line and big backs. It won't be as easy as we think! LCA is a fine program. They're God fearing young men and they're well disciplined. It's hard to say anything bad about them. My honest prediction GW 42 LCA 21. LCA will play with us the first half, may even lead (I thought #10 was kind of disrespectful by the News and Advance) but in the end, we have too many horses for the Bulldogs. I admire and appreciate Bulldogs_to_flames confidence! I do believe that LCA will be very good but they won't have it against the likes of Heritage, GW, Amherst and Woody's boyzzz (Glass).

I will make sure Mike Salem has the best seat if he comes to the game. I did for him one year and will again. I will pull for GW on Friday night. If Amherst wasn't playing I would attend that game and sit on the GW side.

I'm looking forward to the powerhouse game. But I think the bulldogs will wear this team down. You can look for Lca to have 10+ play drives and if they get some quick stops on defense the score might surprise people. Lca is coached very well and they always dot the i's and cross the t's. LCAs defense has shut down a lot of powerful offenses with more athletes than what GW has. But GW always has some athletes though so it should be fun to watch. GO DAWGS!!
