the rumor around the truck on Saturday was this game very well could be the espn2 prime game. However, no announcement yet.

Interesting. I wonder if they want to wait and see how we look on Saturday before pulling the trigger on the game.

UGA at AZ State is ABC, Fla/Tennesse is CBS, LSU/AUBURN is ESPN, and Arky/Bama is Three Daves Special.

No other games broadcast regionally or nationally.

I would be willing to bet that ESPN would have already grabbed this game if we hadn't laid the egg in Ruston.

just curious. also, what is espn2 going to show in primetime - some team from the lowly WAC or something?...

the abc slot for georgia should actually allow an extra broadcast for sec games, i would think. lsu-auburn, fla-tenn, and bama-ark are the obvious choices, but i thought we'd have a shot at espn2.

They've since added that to the press release for what it's worth.

with it being an ACC home game, it would be an ACC release, not an SEC one. The ACC has a raycom sports slot and an ABC mid-afternoon regional slot - the same one the Rebels were on last weekend. It could also be picked for the ESPN2 prime slot, which is still open.

Other games to consider:

Miami at Texas A&M
Wake Forest at Florida State
Virginia Tech at North Carolina

It could also be picked for a revolving 12:00 ET ESPN/ESPN2 slot.

which looked like a dog at the first of the year might actually be an attractive game now given Vandy's good early showing and Ole Miss playing well this past weekend against Wake.

if it's raycom, can a jackson station pick it up somehow (given that it's acc raycom, not sec raycom)?

it could be on lifetime for all i care - as long as it's on somewhere. i guess we'll know next week. i guess i'll either be drinking at home mid-afternoon or drinking my lunch at a sports bar.

....so they can end it early in-progress, and join the 2:30 ABC game when it starts.

I have a USM friend that was PISSSSED that they did that on Saturday with over five minutes left in the USM/Auburn game.
