He wouldn't drop the **** about Cohen pulling the pitcher with 2 strikes. Hey buddy, when you have the best closer in the country available with 1 strike to get the hitter. It's worked for Cohen and State so shut the hell up.

Yeah I think it was weird but I don't see it affecting Ross's psyche.

I think his booth partner is glad it's over too. What a whiney squeaky voiced *****. Damn that was annoying.

The hardest thing in the world for a hitter is to have to hit a pitcher's breaking ball the very first time you see it. Cohen does this **** because he was a hitter and he understands this. Every time he does it, he is looking for a K. Ross isn't a strikeout pitcher and in that situation, if a ball finds a hole, the game is tied. I don't understand why the announcer can't understand it.

If we didn't have the best closer in the country ready to go

Cohen wouldn't make that move. But when you have a guy like Holder fresh in the bullpen and you're in a situation where you need a strikeout, you go to him. Cohen wanted to go ahead and win the series right there and he put his faith in Holder to bring it home, which Holder almost always does. Cohen does make some head scratching moves sometimes, but that move made a lot of sense.

Mitchel is not

a threat to get the K (what we needed there) either. He's going to have the guy out the ball in play. Holder has the ability to K. Thus, the move was made. It really isn't rocket surgery, but then again, I don't expect college color guys to know that.

Exactly. If you have Holder or Lindgren ready to go and get to 0-2 or 1-2, why the hell wouldn't you put them in with an advantageous count?
I can't imagine having to face either for the first time already with 2 strikes.

That explains it. Graves always seemed mentally weak to me. He looked 12 out on the mound and would try a mullet to make him look tougher, which made him only look like a douche. At least what I remember when with the Reds.
