Can’t be overstated how big that 2-run rally with 2 outs in the 7th was. Made it much easier for our staff to keep riding Lynch after he’d allowed the home run.

The Dr. and Coop give you great defense but 0’fers at the plate. Is the trade off that good to keep putting them out there on defense
Hey everyone, a good friend has introduced me to this page and am very excited to join this thread. With that being said, Ryan Lynch is a really good pitcher and I am very impressed with his poise. His teammates definitely have a great time being around him on and off the field!

I think he was the only guy on the team to draw a walk today.
He is giving a lot of what you want out of your 9 hitter.
Proud of this team for winning the first 2. Cal may not be a great team but they’ve had some good arms, and from our point of view it was a challenge for us to fly across the country and play this series after getting humbled last weekend by Virginia.
Really hope we can get the sweep tomorrow. Coming home 3-0 would feel great!

No inside info, but if the bottom third struggles again tomorrow, you wonder if Forbes makes a move or two in the order to try and shake things up. He’s done it successfully in the past.

Cooper seems locked into the line up. We’re in a situation where the ceiling for the team can only be hit if he gets it going, so we just have to ride it out. Howe has shown the most upside of anybody in the OF competition so I think he’s in again tomorrow. French gets on base and scores. We’re talking the 9th spot in the batting order and he has a pretty high floor.
For those that have followed Carolina under Forbes, he’s not afraid to make moves even if they are winning, if it will help the team.

Hull needs more recognition for scoring from first on two steals and the error on the pick off. That was awesome.
Also had our first 3 RBI of the game, all with 2 outs. Huge weekend for him so far.
Full admission, I was at the beach and cooking during the game so I watched when I could. Good for the doctor if he got on 3 times.
Great series win. Cal had been playing well. I was a little worried going out to Cali, but the pitching has really stepped up.

With just a few exceptions, the RPI is starting to look fairly legit after 20 or so games. The obvious outliers in the top 25 are Missouri State at 10. Cincy at 11 and Purdue at 17.
