Everyone thought he was going to work out because he is “so smart”. He might be highly intelligent (but he did drop out of med school). There are plenty of smart people that can’t coach. It’s his personality that is off putting. Big cry baby. He missed his calling.
If I spent the money we have and crashed my department I'd be fired WITH CAUSE and have no hope of unemployment.

This is his worst coaching performance by far. He wasn't insane at BYU but this is just so disappointing.

This is true. What’s really amazing, besides the ****** coaching, is that Pope doesn’t even understand who to have on the floor.
Here’s one for you. I’m actually looking forward to watching the UT/Arky game. Hated Cal at the end too. This isn’t some kind of swooning over Cal. More about watching two coaches that can typically get their dudes to at least play hard. Damn Cal for getting fat and lazy here. Damn him.

We are 9-5. 4 of those losses were blowouts, one was in Rupp and one was by 35 points. This is not acceptable.
Past performance is a predictor of future performance. It’s not like Pope was some new up and coming coach. We’ve had 15 years to see what he has accomplished. I’d like to know what bologna Mitch was sold by Popes buddies to give him a chance. Name me a few coaches that have been mid for 15 years and all of a sudden became killers. I can’t think of many or any.

I think all BBN should say damn Mitch. He’s the problem point blank. Cal grew tired of Mitch’s ******** causing him to get tired of Kentucky.
I wanted him to play more minutes against the cupcakes, that didn’t happen. Putting him in this game, after not playing him much against the cupcakes, isn't going to work.
Been coaching for 15 years and haven’t done a thing to speak of until last year thanks to Williams and Brea.
Cal's problems were his own making too. They both can suck a railroad spike.

Alabama would have beaten any team with any coach today. Kentucky brings out the best in teams and players that seldom see the floor.

We are not a good team this season, thats pretty obvious. What does running down the coach and players 24/7 accomplish? It doesn't change a damn thing. At the end of the season, if UK misses the tourney, he will be replaced or he won't. I am not going to sit here and blow Nate Oats like half our fanbase all season. I hope Pope can turn it around, if not, Ill support the next guy up

There doesn't really seem to be any point in arguing about how they should have went about things on offense when they couldn't get a stop.
I mean whether we take a 2 or 3, a turnover results in no shot at all. So at the end of the day, does it really matter?
Thats fair. But they are, and its not going to change this season. Either Pope makes a big turnaround next season or he will likely be replaced. Acting like an 6 year old having a tantrum won't change that
Today is a first for me. Yes, today I question virtually everything Pope did. We have a team built to beat Alabama and we got away from everything that makes us just that. Im pissed and gonna stop there atm.

Over the last ten years, we have stunk. The amount of programs that have been better than us, is quite large and Pope's awful program management, on top of Cal's awful program management, is going to set us back even more.
Pope spent $22 million on this roster and it’s garbage. He’s a mid major coach with zero success. He's not qualified for this job.
Also, we have zero recruits for next year. Pope can’t relate to today's kids, because he's a goofy cheese ball. Next year might he worse. Wake up.
This should speak volumes to people.
There is no shame in losing on the road at Bama.
But in two years we've not been competitive. I think people gave Pope a pass last year because we did come back in some of those games. But the red flags were there.
