I agree, and I watch the NBA every night. He would fare better in the old NBA, but his skills are so far below the others. I wouldn’t draft him in the first round.
JQ just went 9 months without playing. Again, he's the least of our problems. Not sure why you are going after him so hard.
Crazy thing is that we had been getting destroyed, but they current balance of the game hangs on a few plays.
-Oweh missing 2 wide open layups and going 0-2 at the one trip from the line.
-Alabama's player getting the offensive rebound and calling a timeout as he was in the air out of bounds. Bama then made a 3. I wasn't even aware they changed that rule. It's rarely used these days.
That's 8-9 points right there. Basketball is crazy.

There are things that he hasn't been doing this game that have nothing to do with going 9 months without playing. Unless you think people forget how to ride a bicycle after 9 months away from one, lol. They're paid players.
I think that not starting Lowe and Quaintance sets the tone and we always have to dig out of a hole.
I'm disappointed that Pope doesn't realize this.
He missed those 2 layups, had that dunk, fumbled what seemed like an easy steal, and missed two free throws. I had some questions lol
This team is garbage. Sorry to say that but it's just empirical truth at this point.
And sometimes you have to guard a 5-7 3pt shooter better.
I think Pope just realizes these guys aren't at full health yet and won't be playing the amount of mins they should be. Better to have those mins at the end than beginning.
Also FWIW this game was extremely close when JQ and Lowe finally checked in.
Now I see why we have no players signed for next year. Would you want to come play in this system where you may get 17 to 20 minutes per game

Don’t discount a team getting up 20 and then relaxing. It happens. This game was never, ever, in doubt. And it sure as hell didn’t come down to a few plays like you suggest.
