Pearl is not a good sign IMO. Hope I'm wrong. Why not a luxury hotel in downtown Jackson? Man, I hope these guys are getting treated decently and shown some respect and appreciation. Hope Jackson doesn't 17 this up and feel that the sporting world owes JSU something. They need to be in full as$ kiss mode IMO.
And if they were gonna be in New Orleans , St. Louis or Chicago, crime would be the main fear? Do they run off the the 'burbs for safety evertyime they go to a high crime city?

Pretty sure it is in the parking lot area behind Backyard Burgers.
I think it was just production in Pearl. Hearing the on air folks are at The Westin.
Not saying they aren’t avoiding Jackson but it’s very common for accommodations to be made near the airport.
Wife works at UMMC.....they sent them out a map yesterday.....they're setting up on the northeast side of the stadium in the parking lot, where they'll have the stadium as the backdrop presumably. Makes sense, as it's the best looking side of the stadium.
That sucks. It’s rained 3 times since July. Of course it’s going to rain Saturday.

Pig and Pint sounds good for lunch. May wait until the lunch crowd clears out. Had the grandbaby with me yesterday and had a burger at Brent's. Me and the grandbaby love us some Brent's, especially the milk shakes. I'm pissed Babalu's closed, they had the best margarita in Jackson.

Tried to post a pic but it wouldn’t go through. Lots of activity going on right now. Looks like some of the folks are planning on partying all night. Very heavy police presence. They are set up on the NE side of the stadium. Judging from all the activities going on it looks like it’s going to be a big time. I’d hate to have to work at UMMC tomorrow. Parking is going to be a nightmare.
My mom is in the Wiser building really sick. It going to be rough getting in to see her.

They have a lot of parking needs because of equipment and trailers. They can't stay somewhere like the Old capitol inn or King Edwards. Pretty much has to be a chain type hotel with ample parking. And I suspect Pearl is just the natural location for logistics. It's either coming down I-55 (from I guess maybe countyline being the closest possible exit with a usable hotel for them?) or coming in from the Pearl direction. Or is there somewhere in Flowood that would be closer? I'm guessing the location of the airport is not irrelevant to them either.
Makes sense as I don't know a damn thing about this kinda stuff other than I want it to be a total success if at all possible. I wonder what the typical protocol is for host schools regarding nice things they typically do for the T.V. Crew and all.

He’s missed 3 out of the last 5 weeks. I think this might be his last season on College Gameday.
I can confirm. This is correct. The Tv personalities stayed at The Westin.
Also Jackson St opponents (every home game) stay at the Westin.
Wlbt reporting 80 cars windows shattered or broken into, unbelievable

Well I don't live in any of the Cities you've mentioned so i do not know where they stay when they go to any of those. What I do know is the crime rate of Pearl is FAR lower than that of Jackson yet they touch each other.
Not sure exactly how this picture applies to what I said.... when what i said is true.
If you want the chance to get shot/robbed. Stay in Jackson. If you want to be somewhat safer... stay elsewhere.
I work in Jackson and have lived in Jackson for the better part of my life. Im not some outsider looking in.
