He lost the game tonight. 14 points on two plays.
He plays hard, but he's just not SEC material. Can't wait to see this become Kamario's team next year.

I mean shapen isn’t really the problem. He’s not why we lost. It’s the defense IMO. When the game was on the line they gave up some huge plays

For me the game was lost on our last possession of regulation. Been running it down their throats and making them like it and we proceed to throw it 3 straight plays with 3 straight incompletions.
Let’s not forget we left 7 on the board when Shapen hit a streaming Thompson right in the hands. The fumble six I don’t really put on him - that’s more lebby. You convert the 4th down fake and have only been successful on the ground all night and decided to go to the air there? No keep chewing clock and run the damn ball.

I disagree, but he did have a wide open WR on 3rd & goal in OT and didn’t see him. Would’ve been a walk-in TD.
He’s a competitor, but he is not a QB for this level. He panics and then ….
A huge upset was inches from happening, a bunch of points were scored, offense moved the ball thru 4 quarters.

He also never dumped it to Bothwell over the middle. He was in to block then leaked forward and He was wide open multiple times.
Boy do losses reveal who knows absolutely nothing about the game of fooseball.
He should have had a touchdown the play before but he decided to run it.
My only complaint about Shapen is he holds the ball. Instead of taking the easy throw the defense is giving you, he tries to make every play a home run. That won’t work especially with our pass blocking.
Senior QBs should know everything they’re supposed at this point in their careers.

It’s just that we’ve all seen this movie before. We are probably being to hard on the current roster. It’s not really their fault. They played hard.

Most QB’s don’t expect to get hit 0.5 seconds after they receive the snap. They also don’t expect to get hit that hard that fast from the blind side.
If the LT even remotely chips the DE, the sack doesn’t happen.
I'm not going to fault the guy. Getting hit on the blind side by somebody that large moving that fast wouldn't be a pleasant experience.
I don't have a problem with taking a shot after the fake punt but the O-line can't pass block for shat. When they do, he holds it too long.
He absolutely cannot handle fast rush ends. They make him look silly. Very slow feet, which ain't good in the SEC.
He damn near succeeded. No QB is going to look good getting the pressure he got today.
