Opened with Indiana giving five and half pts. and has since moved to six and a half. Still no word on their QB or RB playing.

It seems like the QB will probably play, the RB may not be ready. I saw a report from the Indiana beat writer on BTN, said that the QB is limited and they are a little worried about his ability to move around in the pocket, however he said he would not be surprised to see him starting the game. Nothing wrong with his arm ..which is a real concern for RU.

Yep....Blitz and knock him out of the game if he can't move around in the pocket. Then, when the 3rd team QB comes in....Blitz even more and knock him out as well.....:boxing:

Blitz, blitz and then blitz some more !
This exactly. Blitz, play tight coverage off the line stopping the quick pass. See how he does moving around and throwing on a bum ankle. A lot harder to throw when you have to dance around in the pocket and plant, then just sitting back there. Don't do what we did against a hobbled Bridgewater I could swear we only blitzed like three times in that game. Such a disgrace with that D we had.

Not sure if blitzing is the answer. He is going to get rid of the ball fast, similar to WSU. Playing tighter on the WRs is a must, as is stopping the run. Save the blitzes for 3rd & long.

Well if it's a similar offense to WSU I would like to see us alternate between dropping 8 or 9 into coverage and blitzing. The WSU game plan was too predictable.

Bergen record still had it as off the board....I wonder what their source is?.... I was hoping that there might be a second thoughts about
the qb playing again.

agree!! They are a quick throw team which doesn't allow the pass rushers too much time. However the QB is not as accurate as the WSU QB and may be less accurate on a bad ankle.

I am feeling more and more positive about this game as the week goes on. If the front seven on D plays like they did last Saturday and we cut back on penalties/turnovers again, we win.

A different matchup than last week and the game probably won't be similar. Indiana will run more spread formations, which tends to simplify the defensive alignment. It makes blitzing and getting to the QB more difficult because of the very wide WR splits. The LBs are spread much further from the line of scrimmage. I think we will see a mixed bag of coverages and some blitzing.
