Game Mismanagement

Obviously the defense is a disaster. And somehow Riley got absolutely annihilated by a freshman receiver. So all that needs to get fixed.

I’m concerned about Brohm’s game mismanagement because it takes him looking in the mirror to fix that. He seems to get impatient with his play calling. We could’ve ran the ball down their throats instead we chuck it deep seemingly inexplicably. And when you have undisciplined play then ultimately that is a failure of the head coach.

We aren’t using in-helmet communication effectively and apparently sometimes not at all.

I sat behind the bench and saw little energy on the sideline. The team seemed really disinterested.

We are 17th in recruiting in the ACC. You can’t rely on transfer to build a roster. You use transfers to fill out a roster.

They were scoreboard watching. Notice the difference in play once Pittsburgh lost. It was easy to see. They had 0 playoff aspirations once Pitt lost.

I really hate to agree but that's what it looked like to me. Several times I was questioning what he was doing as the play caller. There's just no consistency with it and appears to be *** backwards in the 4th quarter.

How do we judge Jeff Brohm? As a HC or an OC?

As a HC, his players are not disciplined and his defensive coaches are not improving.

As a OC, he's not been very good at all. Where is the creative play calling? No screens today or reverses and very little misdirection. He calls pass plays when it should be runs and vice versa. Not everytime but way too many times.

I think doing both jobs, hinders both jobs.

Head coach should, must be involved in the total game, phases of the game. You can't be walking around with your offensive playlist. You have to be totally focused, observing those on the field of play. English coaches better with someone on his shoulder and on his a--.

Jack of all trades, and Master of none…..

This is not the Brohm I remember.

He would have been up some asses with some of that showboating, hey-look-at-me crap.

But… you can’t coach like that anymore. Someone would be offended.

Last year is looking like a lot of lucky breaks until the end of season meltdown.

IMO, a win over uk is now MANDATORY for him to get any slack.

And now? I’m not holding my breath.

If things go like most places, now that we’ve screwed away a very good bowl, we’ll probably see some “opt outs”.

I seriously doubt they beat Pitt. They aren’t beating UK. This defense is absolute garbage. Pitt and UK will get enough stops. Just a mess.

You can’t score 35 points and it not be enough. They honestly have instincts on defense. Explain Riley getting absolutely abused 90 percent of the game. You can’t….it is simply him getting beat.

If you lose as a 21 point favorite you SUCK at your job whether it's coaching or playing. Have some damn pride ! You're carrying the banner for the university and the fanbase. A fanbase that desperately needs one of its programs to be GOOD !! GET YOUR **** TOGETHER..!!

Reminded me of Kragthorpe's loss to Syracuse as a 35 point favorite. And Brian remembers that one!

If we lose to Kentucky, there should be some talks about how much we should expect from the future. Kentucky sucks this year and beating them will be sweet, but it also won’t prove much. Losing to them will prove some bad things.

The ball is in Brohm’s court.

He got some bridges to repair.

The next two games may prove nothing as we’ll have to see who stays and plays.

His only shot at saving any grace is winning the last two games. I don't care if he has to replace players opting out with Labybirds, he better win... I'd say look for about 20 k fans this Saturday.. People not giving up their Saturdays for this ********.

I understand the frustration. Hell I flew all way across the country to watch that meltdown in person. But man I’d hope we have more fans than that on Saturday. Being at the games and tailgating with my family and friends is something I consider a real joy in my life.

Yeah, many Cards fans have totally given up this season. Here we were actually receiving national respect being ranked 19th in the playoff rankings, even with three losses, and we lose to Stanford as 21 point favorites and do it with constant mistakes and penalties.

It's embarrassing. Did Satterfield ever lose here as a 21 point favorite? Jeff Brohm is starting to look like a mirage and not the real deal we thought he was.

Someone in the media needs to ask him about calling the plays instead of coaching the game. If he wants to be a coordinator then be one, but if he wants to be a top head coach, he needs to concentrate on doing that more.

When the camera is on him, he's never coaching, he's looking at his play cards talking to his brother in the booth. Even when we're on defense.

I remember EVERYBODY bitching about a certain coach and him constantly staring at his “Waffle House Menu”….

Ring any bells? Gotta hope this turns out differently.

That said, wishin’ and hopin’ has defined UofL sports going on a decade now. TEN YEARS

I’m tired. And losing hope. All we have done is make many people rich while we fans get less and less.

Coaches get rich, win or lose. Something is wrong with that.

Not to defend UK at all...UGA only beat them by one and In my POV UK was the better team that day.

So if I was to say that UK sux, and they do, what does that say about UGA and for that matter the entire SEC?

Hell Bama and a group of them all have two losses. Is this parity or has the mediocrity caught up to all of them too?

But I agree, the Cards should and have to beat them this year.

If not, the reincarnation of the Bear is a bad collision, and the collision course goal we seek that Howard implanted is not attainable, regardless of the coach....sadly.
