absolutely loved this episode. Yes this season is rushed... but they were only given so much money per season... they couldnt afford more episodes in a big battle like this.
That's not what happened.

Anyone defending this season is a pure idiot. It’s easily the worst of the series. Made even more of a joke that it took two years to make. Just like with the NK, the big bad Cersei who everyone has waited for to die for years is killed basically standing with Jamie waiting for everything to fall on them and kill them. Jesus what a horrible way to kill her, Jamie too.
Seriously, how in the hell do you take two years to film 6 episodes and make it feel like you rushed through writing and filming it in just a couple months? In ALL the other seasons, nearly every single death had meaning behind it. You felt it. These last 3 episodes they’ve basically just lined up main characters one by one in front of the firing squad killing them off quickly and without hardly any meaning or emotion behind it.
The most “moved” I’ve been of any death was the Hounds and Jorahs. The rest were rushed and cheap and many of those characters deserved better. Especially the NK, Jamie, Varys, Cersei.
But whatever, fanboys will say “well nobody would be happy with any way they did it.” That’s crap. This has been a masterpiece of a show for 7 seasons. They could have easily gotten this right and in a way people would have liked it or atleast been okay with it. But it’s like they’ve gone out of their way to screw it up and make people dislike it.
Seriously? This episode is rated the worst in GOT history on Rotten Tomatoes. Second worst episode? A season 5 episode with last weeks episode being just a couple points off from second worst ever. Episode 3 of this season is also one of the worst rated in their history as well. Season 8 as a whole is easily the worst rated season all together. The audience score being at 54% for the season. This season is awesome. Zaytoven is just a baby the show didn’t do what he wanted it to.
Yes it is. They’ve said many times that they can only afford so many big battles in a season.
He does not have the books written or the show would be better. Given the reaction the show is getting he won't write the books. This is just going to be a very disappointing ending to something that was really cool to start.Dumb & Dumber just got tired of doing the show. Had this and last season been 10 episodes it might have ended better. But then again it would still have the same two idiots running it.
Btw the actor who plays Barriston Selmy said Martin already has the last two books written but made a deal with hbo not to publish until the show was over.
I’m not a reader. I hate reading. Atleast with books, I can read online all day though. I had considered reading the books but now I don’t know if I will.

They ain’t dead. Powdery and bloody, they emerge from a pile of bricks.Entire season just feels shallow after 7 seasons of great stuff . Especially last night .. Jamie and his sister ho' die by the roof falling in ??
Yep...stupid end to a lot of loose ends. Greyworm going full retard in battle included
she didnt take her whole army to winterfell.
If you read the book you'll be even more disappointed...
In a vacuum last night's episode was really good, it was shot beautifully, the action was amazing, and the drama was edge of you seat.
BUT when you consider the nearly 10 years of character building and story telling it didn't make a whole lot of sense.
The way dany's head started shaking right before she went off made me wonder if Bran hadn't warged into her. You really never know what that dude is capable of or wants since all he does is deny he's Bran. Maybe Sansa convinced Bran to do it as a way to keep Jon from staying there??
I would consider this to be pretty much a perfect summary. In a vacuum last night's episode was really good, it was shot beautifully, the action was amazing, and the drama was edge of you seat.

People gave me **** here for saying the Battle of Winterfell wasn’t good because of plot issues. Those issues have obviously continued and I’m glad others are now seeing it. This season is hot garbage plot-wise. Incredibly disappointing.
Who was Vary's writing the letters to?
