So lets lock in some responses for who dies in episode 3. I'll say Theon, Brienne, Greyworm, Tormund, Podrick, Davos, and Gendry.

Who do you all think will die in E3? Winner gets 100 internet points.

I agree on all those, just not sure they all die in E03 because I think the battle could last two episodes (or at least 1.5 episodes).

But yes those all bite the dust in the battle of Winterfell.

Brienne or Pod. Probably not both.
I think Missandei goes before Greyworm, somehow.
Theon, I don’t know. He’s made it through a lot.
Gendry, gone.
Tormund’s story is done
Someone surprising has to go. Big name. Not Dany or Jon. Not Sansa. Jamie?

I think the big name might be Sam. Hes got no plot armor

If Jorah does make it through this week, will he continue to defend his Khaleesi when/if she goes mad with power?

Sam has some of the best plot armor among anyone on the show. He’s the only one who can confirm that’s Rhaegor’s first marriage was set aside and that he married Lyanna.

Well, so can Gilly ...

I know that this is a thread for the tv show, but I got to thinking more about it last night and there’s absolutely no way that Martin finishes the book series. I would bet my life savings on it.

After only taking 9 years to put out the first four books, dude has only managed to write one book since 2005. He turns 71 years old this year, and Incase you’ve never saw him before hemdoesnt look like the most healthy guy. I’ll be polite and say he’s probably not a big fan of salads.

And then there’s this: Even if he could somehow crank out two more books before he dies, I don’t think the story can be properly concluded in two books. To pull that off he’d have to fit everything that’s happened in the last 3 seasons of the show into two books. I just don’t think that’s possible, there’s way too much story left to tell.

Just a book nerd’s rant. Can’t wait for tonight.

Agree 100% about him never completing the series which is such a shame. I understand how difficult it is write especially something of this magnitude I think he when he moved to other projects he just got lazy and now it too late for him to finish.

- Not all Targaryens are immune to burning, and actually, for all we know, Dany might be the only one who is.

- Wouldn’t call GRRM lazy as he seems almost as active as ever. He’s just badly neglecting the thing that should be his primary focus. ASOIAF is just a side project now.

I think Sam's best insurance is he writes the book. It'll be his history that we are watching.
might have been a bit of foreshadowing back in season 7 when he was talking to the Maester (forgot his name) about some of the titles of the manuscripts.

I think he gets the last scene in the show set in the future showing him writing his memoirs. The book he's working on will close and it's title will be "a Song of Fire and Ice" Just my two cents.

Lord of the rings ending more or less, doubt they copycat that but anything’s possible.

That was exactly what I thought for a while. Then I remember that Jon has already burnt. In season One he burns himself while burning the wight that they brought back to Castle Black.
Maybe you have to know that you’re a Targaryen, and as they say ...

If anyone wants to know they could send a Raven. I don't think Sam dies because I'm with the crowd that believes this is all a story being told by him.

That book is in the Citadel, thousands of miles away.
But the parties involved know it’s in a book at the citadel, which makes Sam irrelevant. Sams already spoken about it, his role in that is played out and him dying doesn’t destroy the record.

The NK is going to pull the same trick that Rob Stark pulled on Jamie Lannister and Jaime then pulled on the unsullied at Casterly Rock. He will divide his force and take King’s Landing first, this show usually doesn’t go for the obvious approach.

Varys signs Podrick to a lucrative, yet financially unfair, record contract.

We find out that, instead of a weapon, Arya actually had Gendry produce the world’s first strap on, and now things are super awkward between them.

Speaking of which, have Sam and Gilly every gotten down to business? Drop little Sam over at one of the crypt statues and make a man out of Lord Tarley.

Tormund gets taken out by a zombie giant for messin’ with his mama.

Davos kills a white walker by singing to him.

A Mormont is going to have to kill a zombie Mormont. Write it down.
I thought that Gilly climbed on Sam after he got beaten up a couple seasons ago. The look on his face said it hurt so good.

I’d like to see the NK turn Tyrion into ice zombie... he said he’d go straight to Sercei. That would be a great way to end her reign.

I think Tormund dies saving The Big Woman so she and Jaime can have a sex scene even more awkward than Arya's in the next episode.

I think Aryas sex scene put a cap on the love making portion of this show, everybody’s been plowed at the point.

Somebody is going to get the Benjen treatment and be a partial, I think it could be Jon because he pulls the same ish in every battle. He charges in every time no matter the odds and that leaves him open to touch ups that get bailed out by someone else.

Charged in to save the free folk and luck saved him.

Kept charging until he fell into the icy water instead of getting on the dragon already, Benjen saved him.

Charged into battle of the bastards and knights of the vail saved him.

Went to see Daenerys with no assurances.

He’s kind of a courageous moron of sorts, bravery before brains type.

He’s Virginia and needs every call to survive.

Jon is GOT Christ. I think that's the point.

One thing is certain, this is like a really good UK game that starts at 9 pm. I've to get to work really early and I'm sure it is going to be hard to sleep after.
