My guess is they're trying to conserve resources and just have people park at the Convo. Dedicating staff to guide people in and out of that large parking area at the Convo vs. having staff there plus at the smaller lots near the stadium, which is actually close to some student housing and dealing with cars before game and the traffic mess after games. Not convenient for attendees but seems it would be more efficient and easier to herd traffic down Lincoln/Annie Glidden to the Convo then after the game, back to I-88.
