All the Tech analysts pick RU to win and the fan comments seem to be very depressing. One of the analysts rates Gavin based on career stats vs this years.
That’s a mistake- we know so far he has played much better this year and will run more than they think. I think we will see continued progress.
Being at home is a plus and I predict a comfortable win.

I really believe that this game is one of the most important games since GS came back. VaTech is not a very good team but the are a "name" opponent. This game will show if we really are on the upswing or if the good start is just due to the poor quality of our opponents. I believe it to be the former. If we can handle this team easily, don't be surprised if we put at least a scare into the Blue and Maize next week.
Worse KO time for me for the year (2:30 AM Sunday morning) but I'll be in front of the computer screen every minute of the game.

Agree; hoping VT comes out flat, and we dominate. Cannot lose this one

Have to chuckle when writers put a story out on us and we haven’t played anyone great they always throw that disclaimer in there. Yet , on the opposite side after playing some blue bloods, they never put a disclaimer in there that our stats are against some top national teams. You either mention it consistently or you don’t mention it at all. Just my little rant for the morning otherwise the article was fair.

I will be happy with a one point win. Agree with all the comments on the importance of this game as a win.

I remember when they really had things going under Frank Beamer. They got a little cocky as a fan base. Not without some justification, especially how they handled us back then.

They thought is was quite funny when ESPN would use "RUTS" as the abbreviation for their onscreen score board for us. For several years their posters would refer to our annual game as "Running Up The Score" week.

It was not nearly as clever as Hillbilly vs. Guido week.

Again, I will take a win of any sort. Whatever their current challenges I don't think we are guaranteed even that by any stretch.

Usually, I find end of game stat enhancement rather tacky. I wouldn't mind a little this week.
