Look, this year is not going well. We all know it. But SC has been in most games and, at least, had a chance to win. I think most of us knew it was inevitable that SC would find a way to lose in the end, but they were still in most games. Really absolutely should have won the Bama game as we all know.

But Lane Kiffin just always seems to steamroll SC.

This is one game that I truly look to be over by midway through the second quarter. I don't think there will be much suspense in the second half.

I wouldn't be surprised to see us get whipped by Ole Miss this weekend but I know for a fact A&M will whip us in a few weeks.

Kiffin is a younger version of Spurrier. I think he trashes everybody. Remember when Spurrier said you can't spell Citrus without UT? Or when he said he was worried about playing Georgia until he saw who was on the sideline (Ray Goff)? When you are good, you can talk s_it.

Kiffin is 50. The year Spurrier turned 50 he was winning his 5th SEC title and first national title. He also won an ACC title at lowly Duke. Kiffin hasnt made a playoff as a head coach or won an SEC title and he's coached multiple teams. He has won a title as an OC and assistant coach so that is commendable. I think he is a good recruiter and solid playcaller and Ole Miss could make this year's playoff. Now if he became LSU's coach that would be interesting to see what he could do with the talent.

I envision a 49-20 game.

We should clean house on the field after the game if that happens. Ole Miss' average margin of victory in SEC games this year 6.5 points, and that includes UK and Arkansas who are a combined 0-9 in the SEC. Games they won by 7 and 6 points respectively. 4-4 WSU lost to them by 3 points in Oxford. WSU lost by a combined score of 118-34 vs Washington and North Texas.

Not doubting Ole Miss will win, but if we are their first P4 blowout of the year, even after they played Arkansas and UK, then turn the lights out on this staff.

Saw a blurb yesterday that showed a clip from a reporter asking Kirby Smart who between him and Kiffen he thought burns more calories on the sideline during a game. Kiffen was asked separately the same question and responded that he had walked past a tv set earlier showing that interview with Smart and it didn’t look like Kirby had been burning too many calories.

If I was Florida, I'd hire Kiffin. I shudder to imagine what Kiffin would accomplish in a state 8x larger in population than Mississippi, thus a lot, lot more in-state blue chip high school prospects to bring in.

While at TN, he also told Alston Jeffery that if he went to South Carolina, he’d end up working in a gas station.

I wouldn't give him quite that much credit.

My guess would be Kiffin never wins a title. He strikes me as a very good coach but not great.

The similarities though are there. They are both offensive-minded, both have won at smaller schools, both failed in the pros and both have smart-a$$ mouths. And in the 55 years since Johnny Vaught retired, no one has done as well at Ole Miss (including Freeze who cheated). Who thought that Spurrier would win a national title based on his Duke coaching days, where he won only 61% of his games at that ACC school, compared to Kiffin having won 73% of his games at Ole Miss? I have been at both Oxford and Gainesville. It is so much easier to recruit at Florida than at Ole Miss....it's not funny. And I'm not even taking into account the significantly greater pool of players in Florida compared to Mississippi. I, for one, do NOT want to see Kiffin at Florida since we will have to be playing them annually.

Yeah, I knew that. Do you not think that all opposing coaches don't have something detrimental to say about schools they recruit against? I can only imagine some of the things said about us that have not gotten out,

I can buy that. I wouldnt be surprised if he wins one some day. His teams will be dangerous in a playoff environment.

But, imo, he has attained that level just below "national title coach". He is a great player caller and is putting together multiple double digit win years.

Much like Spurrier, he's an arse. But if he was our arse of a coach, we would love him.

I dont see it as a blowout, I am guessing Ole Miss by less than Double Digits. They too have issues, The Possible Kiffin bolting will affect them.

It all depends on which OL and DL show up. They have a stud on the DL (forget his name). If he wreaks havoc, we're screwed. If we don't pressure that lil ol QB, we're screwed. And of course Sellers needs to hold onto the ball.
