I bet we see a lot of Butler and Kerr playing together. Chandler is going to be good. Might not take a huge step till next year though.
He will be 10th on the team in minutes and I'd say the gap between the 10 and 9 in minutes will be wide.
Chandler will get a few first half minutes but I doubt he gets many 2nd half minutes if the game is close.

A little flat tonight but think about this. When a Cal team was flat you were stressed because the game was in question. Not tonight they are flat and sloppy but up by 16 at half. I love it and I’m not stressed at all. I’m happy they are having a teachable moment now and not next week.

Pretty good half considering we didn’t shoot it very well. Rebounding was excellent and the defense was pretty good.

So different to see us nit play our best on the offensive end and STILL score 47 in a half.
Scoring the 47 not playing our best is what’s so dangerous. Teams are pretty much in trouble this year that we play and the crazy part is that #23 ranking is an absolute JOKE!

The offense moves faster when Kerr is playing point imo. Love the way he kicks the ball up the court and he is on the money with his passes. Butler played in one of the slowest offenses in the league if I'm not mistaken. Kerr seems better at pushing the tempo.
He is definitely better at pushing tempo. But in the past he has been turnover prone. And a defensive liability.

I agree. Some are freaking out about Duke but this team just played the worst half of ball so far and almost hung 50 and up almost 16. It should make some feel better that our defense and rebounding looked good while they “only” scored 47.

Still learning to play with each other. There'll be some real head scratching plays for a handful of games or two.

I've actually loved his defensive intensity. I don't know what his defensive stats are, but he always seems like a coked up squirrel on D. Quick, twitchy, and intense.

Krissa and Butler are a two headed beast at pg.
Krissa is a dime dropper and 3 pt stroker while Butler is a ball hawker and knows how to get to the rim.
Pope knew how to lock that position up both are your different types and pending on what kind of game pending on who we will need running the game!

Wonder if anybody is obsessed about floor spacing?

You either open up your offense or close it off with the defense scheme.

I noticed Bucknell was playing zone defense and we tend to not attack the basket when that happens. Can't fall for it, they want us to rush into 3's or midrange 2's.

Which Pope has to love because it gives him footage for coaching. perfect point in the schedule for this game

They have isolated Butler on the big several times. Cats need to figure out how to stop that. He isn’t gonna stop good 7 footers.
