This loss is on Beamer. He saw how the OL performed the past 2 seasons. Yet he brought Teasley back each season because he supposedly can recruit very well. If I was opposing coaches, I would tell OL recruits, "If you go to SC, you won't get good coaching to get you to the NFL". No good OL would then come to SC.

Overhyped by who? It was the posters on here and other sites declaring the Gcocks would win 10 games and easily make the playoffs, despite massive losses on defense and losing our best running backs; and an O-Line that is never good, and they are horrific this year. We consistently rank 10th and below in recruiting in the SEC, yet our fans and posters here somehow think we are supposed to compete for the SEC title. We are a mid-tier SEC team and nothing will change that unless some fool contributes a $Billion to NIL for USC, and we get the best 20 players in America.
Not even those. I’m not usually one for uniform talk but tonight’s get up reminded me of the off brand clothing you used to see at Walmarts. Trying to imitate the real thing but tries too hard and looks cheesey.
It's not just the OL, Shula was the worst hire to develop Sellers. We have bad coaches.
What hype? The hype was built up by the posters here and delusional Gamecock fans that don't look at the reality of where our recruiting is EVERY year, the massive losses on D and at running back, and an O-Line than is always below average.
If you didn't see this coming you haven't been watching us play this year.
I'm a fan who thinks there should be a goal to win 9+ games every season and make the hiring decisions (not just recruiting, because 4 star recruits will not succeed with our sht coaching) to get us there. Being content with mid-tier is how you stay at mid-tier for 100 years. I guess as long as UGA is good we don't have to worry our heads about it.
We are being dismantled by a team that is better down through the roster - and down though the staff as well.
No it wasn't just fans...all the sports publications overhyped this team as well.....they didn't deserve to be ranked at the start of the year after all they lost. Sellers is the main reason people liked this team and as you see without him this team isn't much to look at.
Unless Georgia winds up being in our "pod", I don't see why we should regard them one way or another. They aren't our rival, after all. We don't have ANY rival in the SEC.

We don't have the talent at OL, period, can name on one hand the years that we have had a good OL. Everything comes down to the trenches and if you are weak there, you better change the playcalls and blocking schemes to give the QB time. We are a mid to lower SEC team and guess what, that's exactly where our recruiting lands every year. This is no surprise. That said, coaches certainly can improve your lack of talent and Vandy is well coached and have a good play caller.

Exactly, I made this same comment on another site after last week's game, that Vandy looks much better than us this year in pretty much every phase and that we did not even look like a Top 25 team in the first 2 games. Their comment was that we were just playing to the level of our competition and we would easily take care of Vandy.
UK should probably be our SEC "rival" since we are consistently close to their level.
This is probably the worst loss since Beamer arrived. I hope he does some soul searching regarding some of his hires. He needs to stop being a nice guy and run some people off after the season. Beamer does not have the coaching ability to win without a top caliber coaching staff. Until then, we are in for a long season.
Yeah at least we know our QB’s won’t be going pro. Now whether they stay or transfer is the $2 million question

Not all, but many, but why can't fans be realistic. What in our recruiting classes would make anyone believe we are a contender, and what has Sellers done to make anyone think he was a Heisman QB this year, especially with an OL like we have. He was elusive in the pocket last year but never showed passing accuracy or consistency to make people think he was Heisman quality this year. And he has not played good this year, we would not have won this game tonight, even if he had stayed in, well imo.
Finally, some one else said it. Sellers just hasn't been impressive this year. Inaccurate and has held the ball far too long. Our team just isn't good, and the fans need to accept the reality of it.
Clemson has an easier schedule and will improve and be ok imo, our schedule will not allow it, I mean we just got blown out by Vandy at home.
I thought after the win against Clemmons last year we wanted to give him a lifetime contract. Y'all confuse me at times.
Assuming concussion but could be wrong. Usually schools announce that right away but Beamer likes to be secretive with injury info so who knows.
