Was in Jerusalem 27 years ago - after the Rabin assassination.
If you get a chance, see if there's a restaurant called the Philadelphia- though i think it was in the Arab portion of the city.
A note in the Western Wall with RU pulling out a W wouldn't hurt either!

When I was there twelve years ago I went into the shops on Ben Yehuda, and one of the shops sold baseball hats. There wasn't a Rutgers one, but there were A LOT of schools represented. I've got some pix of me wearing my RU gear in Jordan, the West Bank, and of course throughout Israel. Incredible trip. My one regret was not staying at the King David Hotel in Jerusalem, but our group was already booked elsewhere.
I am heading to Jerusalem tomorrow for 3 days and then Jordan for 9 days after that. Going with 2 of my RU roommates.
