Game week Prep

I always hope and root for the best, but prepare my "mental bunker" for the worst.

In this case the worst would consist of State losing to A&M, Auburn looking fantastic in a dismantling of LSU, a BAMA loss to whomever they are playing this week, and representatives from ISIS showing up at my door and asking my feelings about their religious practices.

However, if the first three occur I might be ok with the fourth.

I'm with you, I keep waiting for something to happen but this deal sets up pretty damn good for us.
we Have it all in front of us.....the next two weeks could be a whole bunch of fun.

I feel as if we get by tam, we have a real shot at something special. I'm talking about playoff special. If we manage to get to sec champ game we can beat whoever in east. Just imagine of all the recruits that would be flipping to us. This one season could set us up for a great run for the next 5-10 years

I'm just really hoping I can launch a pregame deuce Saturday. If I get a deuce in before my morning shower I think we win by 20.

The mental image of that last part, 31, cracked me up. I have to say, I'm preparing my "mental bunker" (stealing this term permanently btw) by rationalizing the poor matchup in styles with A&M and the loss of Day, and keeping longer term hope afloat by assuming we'll be reinvigorated by his return for Auburn and a better matchup in styles.

That said, I'm having trouble keeping my latent inner optimist at bay this week.

We are "this close" to experiencing the golden age.

No worries, steal away...and I agree, "this close" is probably the toughest part of the deal. We're going to need some luck, and I think we got some already when Les Miles couldn't see what the rest of us saw- he was playing the wrong QB. I betting they take down Auburn this week in a shoot out.
