Just wondering. On game weekends open hotel rooms are non-existent, especially this year. Where does the GameDay staff stay? They had no idea until a couple weeks ago they'd be in Starkville. Do the hotels keep a few open rooms just in case? Do they charge them exorbitant rates like they do us fans?

Maybe they'll stay in the urban legend Swalm Hall Penthouse...

I hear its swank, and stocked with some of the finest liquors in the world....

The SEC Nation folks were tweeting pictures last weekend from what looked like the Hilton Garden Inn lobby. I don't know if they still do, but at one point, our team stayed there on home game weekends so it was easier to enforce pre-game curfews. If that's still the case, I guess maybe the athletic department just reserves more rooms than they actually need.

Not totally sure but I would assume hotels work just like planes. The Passenger willing to pay for full price ticket with all the bells and whistles and arrives early gets priority over those that arrive barely on time with discount ticket.

They were scrambling last week to find rooms. The hotels accomodate.

Most everyone was in the la quinta last weekend. Tebow was anyway.

They set the stage in front of Dorman. I love that we can showcase our mid 60's Libyan-apartment-deco style architecture

But the cameras were pointed toward the stadium, where the fans were. I didn't get close to the set to see for sure, but apparently they have their backs to the fans (therefore they face Dorman). I don't think they ever showed that building, but I've only watched about half my recording.

Good lord, you had to bring up Dorman! I have so many fond memories of Mississippi State. The worst memories are Dorman. Thankfully, I only had one class in that ******** of a building during my 8 semesters on campus. The auditorium holds three hundred student, but by holds I mean squeezes three hundred students into the worst possible excuse for a desk. The only other time I had to go by the building was gameday. The building is as bad or worse than it actually looks. Everyt ime friends or family new to MSU came to campus, I would show them around and then make it a point to say that Dorman was miserable just so they didn't get the wrong impression. It doesn't help that it's right on the junction either. "Here's the spot that we like to showcase our university and look there is our shittiest buiding."

I guess I'm done.

Last week they stayed in Tupelo. I was surprised because I thought that the Tupelo hotel market would have been saturated by Ole Miss fans.
