I made it to my seat with about 9 min before kickoff so I didn't catch much pregame. I have some observations/questions.

1. The field looks AMAZING. Proud that we will never go to artificial. There's an art to turf management and we sure have mastered it.

2. Would still like the M With STATE banner in the center but larger like we had this week.

3. Our intro video was great! Definitely an upgrade. Overall our sports marketing media is moving in the right direction. Very professional.

4. Were player intros different this year? How'd they look?

5. How was the band?

6. Overall usage of the dawgzillatron has greatly improved also. Seems a new philosophy has been adopted along with proper hirings/firings.

Overall I thought it was a great Gameday dealing with construction restrictions. The West side concourse and entrance is impressive and I'm sure isn't quite finished. Our stadium is going to be ridiculous when it's finished. I'm excited.

Does anyone have the new intro video on line?

I was late and would love to see it......I just sat there in pure amazement on the addition and the work done under the west side. I did not think I'd live to see DW enclosed!

No complaints here either. I got to my seat quicker this year than I did last year. That might change with a true capacity game, in guessing there was around 45K in the stadium at kickoff.

Ill add, intentionally or not, the tailgating scene is much less dense this year (again, maybe it's just because its Alcorn).

Yeah I think the junction was a victim of circumstance, with the heat and the quality of opponent. I've noticed people do seem to be moving from the original junction area in front of the m club.

People are more concentrated in front of B and N and where the companies set up. I guess the Junction is like the "pit" of a concert. I'm sure it gets pretty rowdy on SEC weekends.

The company that made it had a video online but they have took it down it seems.

Sound was decreased, probably because the blue hairs complained, which is fine, but it was like it was muffled. Think if you pressed pillows against all your surround sound speakers.

Not sure why we can't find a happy medium on the volume of the sound system.

To me, the Southern Traditions set up in the amphitheater has always been terrible. The few times I have gone by them, it is horrible, especially when it's hot. They place those tents side by side which allows zero air movement.

We had a few our tailgate group try them last year and came begging back in to ours after the first game.

Just because it's hot doesn't mean they are doing a terrible job. Our tailgate is set up by these guys and it works out fine. Also, it won't be hot the entire season.

This might be a heat and booze induced hallucination, but did anyone else notice that there was no music played on the PA in the 4th quarter? Once again, I might be imagining that. But it certainly seemed like it.

Heat-induced ribbon-board scoreboard hallucinations?
The ribbon board scoreboard updates told me (1) that Penn, Kentucky, Baylor and Missouri are all in the AP Top Ten; (2) that Miami beat Florida 45-7, even though the game was 14-9 when I last saw the game on tv; and (3) beating us last week knocked OkState out of the Top 25.

What was going on with the ribbon board?

End zone construction is going to be incredible when complete.
West concourse is vastly superior to what we had. Great job.
Alcorn's band won the halftime!!!

All of the new construction looked great. But, we still haven't figured out how to do scores of other games, or the volume control on the PA or jumbo. Perhaps our PA guy is so bad they turned his volume down so we don't have to hear him. Too bad we can't find some engineers who know how to work the controls.
