I highly doubt that. I would say more 20th to 22nd. I don't think we are going to get that much love to start the season. But to your point I think only 2 games. SC if we are 5-1 going into that game. Texas plays OK St that same weekend, but that is the only game scheduled for right now other than our game that may have 2 Top 25 teams in it. Start strong and it's a real possibility.

Then the Bama weekend.Oregon plays Stanford that weekend, FSU Miami is also that weekend, Texas plays Missouri. Tougher game competition than the weekend of the SC game. We would need to beminimum 6-3 headed into that game, but preferably 7-2 for gameday to come that weekend.

They won't come for the Egg Bowl until both of our teams are relevant at the same time.

I'd rather start 20-22 and work our way up. I don't want to be on every ones radar to start the season because heads get big and bad things happen. WE beat LSU (which I think we will) and a top 15 ranking will come.

That game could be the defining moment of the Mullen era. We start off 2-0then beat LSU at home on a Thursday night on ESPN in front of a packed house, recruits, and the rest of the nation, it could significantly change the way we are viewed by everyone. It could really jump start this team into the rest of the season and make something special out of this year, not to mention go a long way on the recruiting trail. I can't even begin to think of what good could come out of starting 3-0 with a win over LSU.

I thought our game against LSU was our best shot to get Gameday on campus this year, especially if LSU ended up beating Oregon to open the season. We beat Memphis and Auburn, they beat Oregon and and NW St and we have a pretty good matchup that is very attractive to Gameday.

But Thursday night games have their perks. Only game on tv, and it's between possibly 2 ranked SEC teams. Should draw a good tv audience.

I wouldn't put money on us to win, but I don't think it's impossible. This is the most experienced and talented offensive we've had in a very long time. We have a good interior DL, an above average secondary, and a staff that is led by a guy that never wants to lose at home. It's also the 1st home game for us, and LSU's 1st road game. This is probably the best chance we've had to beat them in a long time. </p>

the thought that, if you're going to knock off a team with considerably better talent, you need to be at home, and you need to have a veteran QB good enough to do it. We have both of those in our corner. So yeah, this may be the year for us to break the curse.

He gets off to slow starts in games and we give up on the pass and just run him and that kills him. If he can pick up close to where he left off passing the ballin that great 3 game stretch of Arkansas, Ole Miss, and Michigan, we will keep him healthier, and have a good chance to beat LSU. They lost a lot of key parts too. Nevis, Peterson, Ridley, Sheppard, and Tolliver.

I think another key is Marcus Green. Had some big catches againstLSU 2 years ago at home, and with his experience, hewill be a big asset for Relf next year. Senior QB, experienced WR core, decent OL, and some young talent on defense. In a game against LSU, I would much rather us havean experienced offense anda younger defense. They always have an experienced, well coached defense and we've never had an offensive unit that can match that until now.

I was making reference to the fact the last time we played LSU at home on a Thursday night, the night before was the infamous "Winston Churchill Quote" from a coach we used to have.
