I am bringing my Dad to his first State game in many years next weekend. Can someone please tell me, or is it posted somewhere, the normal schedule/timing of events before a game? For example, when do the players walk through the Junction to the stadium, etc. I would like him to have the full bulldog experience. Thanks.

In the past it was usually 2 hours before kickoff that the team would walk through the junction. But with the new coach it may change.
...our band will perform at half time with some country music act, and then the sonic boom will come out.

I was hoping for a battle of the bands complete with a drumline square off at the end.

But, our drumline used to battle USM's drumline all of the time. I remember the last time we played USM I was on the field during the drumline battle. IMO, our drumline slaughtered USM's drumline.

There are drum and bugle corps throughout the US that compete on a regular basis. How do you determine a winner in those situations?

But, they are judged on what basis? Muscianship? Appearance? Music choice? Showmanship? Choosing the "winner" is not really the point anyway. Each fan will have his/her own opinion. The point is that some fans may enjoy the additional entertainment and friendly competition between the schools.
