I agree man. I thought playing for Pitino would have him emphasize defense. This is all on him plus our rotation makes no sense.
How many of our shots have barely drawn iron, or worse? This is beyond an embarrassment.
I like Pope, but I gotta call it like it is.

This is as bad as it gets. I am very afraid that we simply are not a very good team. Maybe Lowe and JQ would make a difference but I truly don’t know. Getting blown out by a mediocre squad.
The only silver lining from tonight is that we are hurting UL's strength of schedule.
One and out for us, bad shot then miss, they rebound then score. We can’t cut the lead down. They have have been able to maintain a a ten point lead with a team full of non shooters. We have no inside game, so I guess that’s why Pope won’t or can’t do anything about it. There is going to be a whole lot of heat on him and the team in the coming days. They are playing street ball against a team that don’t shoot the ball well, usually, but has an excellent coach and we are getting schooled in every way.
Its the same crap as last year. We have been down big in the first half in 5+ big games last year and won 2 of them. (Gonzaga/Duke). The rest we lost.

Izzo has a healthy line up and we have no PG. Part of that is on Pope for not having a better back-up, but injuries are killing us early. You can’t deny the impact of those.

The other team wanting it more you can sometimes understand if they’re at home and have been thumped by us as much as UL has. But this is flat out inexcusable. And some guys need to sit. Starting with Garrison and Diabate. And if Pope won’t do it then he’s not the guy.
