You’d really have to hate money to put any significant amount of money on a game like this after this roller coaster of injuries.
MSU never really plays that well in the Cc. But can surprise you. Usual ugly game expected, anything could happen.
I feel like we win this one. I’m not nervous at all. I guess we got the first loss out of the way so now we can just go play.
Mark Pope is a genuinely good man and I really want this to work out. After last week, tonight really feels like a must-win game in terms of setting the tone for the rest of the season. On paper, we should win this game. MSU is well coached and a good team, but perfectly beatable unless they just shoot out of their minds and better than they have so far this season. We cannot come out flat, sleepwalk through this game, and expect to get the win, though. We have to limit turnovers and limit the Spartans rebounding advantage (where they really shine). Keep our turnovers under 12, keep Michigan State under 40 rebounds, and keep their rebounding margin under 10, and I say UK wins. If those numbers go higher than that then we're probably in for a long night and a lot of could've, would've, should'ves postgame.

I sure hope we win. Some of the posters who have been stable minded for a long time have finally succumbed to silly shortsightedness and venom. We need this win bad, or this place is going to be even more intolerable.
Go Cats. If we play scared and timid, we lose to a talent-inferior team, it is that simple. Cannot get popped in the mouth. They are tough - proven. We better come out swinging.
We will run them off the court. Might be close early or even into halftime but before it’s said and done we pull away.
What worries me is that old familiar thing: Anytime a team hasn’t been shooting well, they always end their slump on us. Expect three banked threes in this one
Gonna miss part of this. Having power issues at the house.
That's why I look at their 3 point shooting FG% through their first few and think "oh yeah that's going up".
Granted their were fairly terrible last season in the same statistic but you figure at some point that has to increase for them.
3 point FG% is always a huge variable too. Because of the offense having more control over that. If a team just goes nuts from 3, there's very little that can be done to combat that.
I expect a typical early season performance from Izzo. His team will play very physical defense and offense right at the brink of getting called. That will hurt us as we still haven't been able to handle the physical team.
Garrison was absolutely lazy defense. Allowed 2 offensive rebounds and didnt even move!!
