its not SEC pitching we can't hit, its ANY pitching we can't hit. That is why I have little confidence that we can make noise in a regional and Super regional like we did last year even WITH our excellent pitching staff.

Got to abandon traditional lineup structure and get them consecutive ab's

Need Frasier and Renfroe hitting back-to-back right now.

But our offense is so completely inept that they alone may play us out of a regional. This is not a "rebuilding year" offense or "defensive minded" offense. This is the worst offense I have ever seen.

All 4 of those balls were hit hard, the last 2 crushed by Slauter and Porter.

We'll put something together in the 7th if they leave him in...

Actually I agree with you....I am not able to listen tonight, but I would like to see Renfroe in the 3 hole and someone who can actually lay a bunt down in the 2 hole. Where do we have Renfroe tonight? Clean up?

And B. nobody on our team can bunt as has been evidenced by the entre season. Just this game alone we are 0-2 on bunt attempts. Slauter fouled them eventually getting out and frost popped his up to the catcher.

When anyone speaks ill of our offense? It's usually a manchurian candidate tick that whenever anyone mentions our dreadful hitting that they come out of the woodworks to talk about "Cohen-bashing"

in it's current configuration. Knew it was going to be a work in progress and uphill battle this year, before all the injuries.

That said, we "should" be farther along...in the same way Stratton "should" have been a dominant pitcher prior to this season. Youth forced to play that isn't ready + experienced failure = shot confidence = players that look alot worse than they actually are. That's the biggest hurdle we're dealing with right now, and I don't know how we're going to remedy it this season. That's something they overcome in low-pressure situations on the Cape in summer league.

I do defend our youth and injury situations...and will defend Cohen at times when the discussion goes "Polkish".

I'm glad Slauter got out there. Leave Renfroe a chance to tie it if Frasier can get on base....
