I had Hurts, and because of his questionable status I had to go with Dak, who busted yet again. Now, Minshew has his TE almost 30 points in the first half…. Who I’m up against.

Reminds me why I took a couple of decades off from FF.

No way that’s possible. I was told Minshew was not an impressive QB in college because he didn’t play in the SEC. The guy is a successful NFL QB but those NFL defenses ain’t got nothing on these SEC athletes.

I don't know why Payton didn't try to trade for him when he knew he needed a QB. Seems like he and Payton would light it up. But what do I know ? I doubt Jacksonville wanted much for him. I know he is a "system QB" but it was impressive and he did win a JC championship. I bet he goes back on the bench when Hurts comes back.

Seems like Hurts has played himself out of a guaranteed starting job. Should be fun to watch those two battle it out the rest of the year.

He was traded to Philly before the season started.

Payton decided he was good with Jameis, Taysom Hill, Trevor *****, and Ian Book.

Yup. I can see why some teams might be skeptical of him, but he seems tailor made for Payton. I can't imagine Payton didn't evaluate him as an option so I'm guessing he didn't think he would work for some reason.

It's not like Winston was being counted on to pass for 300-400 a game like Brees did. He was managing the game just like Minshew does, but at a much worse rate than him. I was on the Minshew to NO train when Drew announced his retirement.
