SC is the future of GC football.
They’ve made some great improvements last couple years. They’ve always had players …maybe not the first couple years but after that they’ve had guys and will continue to have some. They get some of belmonts and all of Mh and add in some Stanley kids. Big diff. Now is they’ve had the grace to compete at 3a-4a instead of murderers row 5a-6a big south.
But yeah, young coach that will keep learning from things i am sure.

I would think the plan is to have the starters out by halftime. Got to execute to make that happen. I would think Lincolnton is giving Shelby their full attention this week.
If Lincolnton can slow down Woods, I think it is a good game. If they don’t I think it could be a long night. I don’t think Lincolnton will be able to run the ball against Shelby’s front (nobody has yet), but they have a lot of speed on offense and if they can hit some big plays they have a chance.
I think sc sits in good position playing them the week after Shelby. You all can capitalize on whatever comes of that game. Beat Shelby and it then becomes (for them) possible Letdown game or maybe a ‘they got beat up game’ and they limp into your game. Apparently it is also possible they don’t show up with all their players - esp. after a big game the week before.
I would assume SP has an eye on Km game this last 3 weeks. Lots of time for film and getting ready for it.

Yep it is tough. Just played Burns the week after Shelby. Had a few kids beat up but they gutted it out and played.

watched the first 2 drives both ways and the coaching/scheme differnce was alarming. The above message was posted then....at 7-0. Everyone knows ASH. defense is young and bad....but the bigger story is how ineffectively the offensive talent is used. They straight 5 step drop a 5'7 qb...don't think rolled him once. Laughable type stuff. If they ran 3 specific run plays (easy to figure out what those 3 should be) and put a simple BUT EFFECTIVE pass game in it would be a matchup nightmare for everybody and would hide that bad OL.
I don’t think people realize how good KM is this year. They got something going and it’s not going away any time soon.
Holding Ashbrooks offense down like they did is impressive. I know their offense is getting all the credit, but their defense must be really strong as well.
South Point is going to learn. The hard way. Something tells me they’re getting more than the tip.
They didn’t hold back Ashbrooks offense too much. Ash had fumbles, this and that. Some self mistakes, some km produced mistakes.
the story is how bad ashbrook is on D ….and how big a departure their defense is from the last few years.
lol. Km has definitely looked better the last couple weeks. With that said, I think they will give sp trouble with more of a split (run/pass) instead of just throwing easy 80 yard posts and verticals over and over. One thing is for sure….they won’t be seeing an ashbrook type D this week.
I agree they lost a ton on D and am not the same team they were last year. Their offense hadn’t been held under 27 points all year so I still think it is impressive to hold them to 1 score.
I hope SP goes in there and hammers KM this Friday night. My confidence just isn’t as high as Rockshows that it is going to happen like that.
You and crest have plenty to worry about with km and your own matchup issues.

Mounties won’t being mounting us! Keep it over in cleveland county. SP is use to being overlooked and talked down to and being the smaller team. The difference is…..we are a TEAM and size doesnt matter when you block through a thigh pad!
