Yes….go look and see when a s p fullback didn’t avg between 6.1-6.7 yds per carry no matter the year, how tough the competition was from one year to another, etc. some guys play the position longer than others and may accumulate stats. You will get yards at that position in that offense no matter what.
I am not talking bad about any of them….but there is Tyler bray at the top and then a second level of 2-3 guys if you’re talking sp fullbacks in this offense and then another level down and so forth.
Go check and see how many teams stopped 42. They ALL tried to stop him first and foremost when he was at fullback…
Oh I know. Tyler Bray was a nightmare. Teams had a difficult time containing his rushing ability, especially in the playoffs. The 381 yard playoff performance should tell the whole story. This is even when defenses knew South Point wanted the run game. Heck he had 24 rushing touchdowns just in 2013 averaging almost 8 yards per carry.

Tyler Bray was a monster. The best I ever saw at that position at SP. Unstoppable..
Yes Bray was a stud...and a Crest killa for sure...another one I enjoyed was Troy Leeper... hate his Sr year the QB broke his leg in the Weddington game.that was a great SP team...
I also hate Rockycord for what they did to Bray that year... dirty team... but hey that whole program sucks... I only think of Concord now for the Bass Pro Shop... oh and that memory..Rulz jumping into the fish tank at Bass Pro Shops trying to recruit a 40-pound catfish to play middle linebacker for Crest. 😂 Somebody yelled, ‘Rulz, who the hell you recruiting now?!’ He said, ‘Keep your voice down! Shelby and Burns don't know about this one yet!

Bray was a Crest killer. I can't lie... Good grief he ran through us like a sword through cheese.

Old school guys will remember this name... I would have loved to see Willie Strain run in the Red Bone. That would have been scary.
He would’ve been a near perfect back for it. They had a guy similar to him recently- 33. Maybe a step slower than strain (which is not to say he was slow), but similar frame, skill, power, explosion attributes). Like strain early in his sp time 33 played a lot of defense.

Ashbrook....do you any stones to show your pride, your intent, your focus, your expectation about tonight's game?
You have a bunch of sports cars in the garage.....you gonna keep taking 1-2 out for sunday drives tonight or going to turn loose the whole fleet?

Mr. McGoo.

Get real. In no world did this Assbrook offense want any part of the Crest defense.

Sports cars. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

They have much better skill players than Crest has. However....the coaching is about 1/4 what Crest has and the OL/DL play THIS YEAR *(not the last few years).... the OL/DL play this year is pitiful for the green ripples.

No they do not. But do you.

Running clock. 2nd string and 3rd stringers in.

38 to 0.
yall should be recruiting a couple of those players if you want to make a run next year.
Does SP have better athletes than Sp? Think that's already been seen....and you might have to see it again.

I feel like yall should recruit a QB with something other than a napkin for sn arm. Some wide receivers and a coach who can teach all of them the forward psss.

And yes SP has better athletes than SP🙄.

You might have to see it again Pal. Ain’t no one over here worried about that one dimensional dinosaur offense.

Sp will be fine....we know why you want us out of the Redbone. How many kids did you have to recruit and how many meals did you have to serve to buy those recent wins?

Is cleveland co football good...sure. Did you have to sale your soul and become full time pimps to get there...also correct.

I’d like for you to stay in it personally.

As to the rest of that hogwash. Have you seen our JV team and our middle school championship team? Pipe line is full.

No skill kids transfer to SP. Their skills become useless there.

DBOER!! Ashbrook with all that offensive skill had 102 yards of offense.

Defense Travels!!

Yeah I want em to stay in it too... just sprinkle in a lil pass here and there..

Belmont Middle is on a tear in this championship run as well.

Kinda like what you said.. so basically SP wins with less talent... and maybe better coached up.. id say for sure SP wins more games vs better teams ( athlete vs athlete) than they should.

I can't imagine SP in a spread offense lol.
Probably be a .500 team every year.

I think sp “athletes” have been underrated for a lonnnnnng time. Yes certain years talent is better but on avg there is plenty in Belmont and a big part is because of all the people who help from over many, many years funnels up lots of players.
sp in a spread with coaching who understand it and utilized one of the good offensive systems (not one of these patchwork systems) would deliver about the same as they’ve been. Won a lot before they ran this offense.

I know but they ran the option out of the pro I formation. They switched to the Flexbone to spread em out more...bc teams were stacking the box with 9/10 guys... and yes I'm sure they can.. but id rather them build off what works with the Flexbone. This is just my opinion tho.

Yeah I didn’t say I didn’t like veer.
But look around….lots of teams with lesser talent and coaching run “spread” offenses. Sp wouldn’t have one issue making that switch if it were to ever happen….which is highly unlikely just based off those involved.

Count me out.... SP is the Red Bone. Take it away and we are not the same. That BIg Red Machine gets it done year after year. SP is a TEAM not a group of elite players in the same color unis. Are we the most talented team....almost never. Do we win as a TEAM getting the most out of those home grown Raiders...absolutely.
