While this is/was fun....it is 100% ridiculous.
Synopsis:
You are on a 5a/6a football board. Football talk. You came on here talking about SC. I respond.
There is no narrative. You have my opinion. I'm not a representative of sph but I BET many would agree with what I say because the talks are just that. So you aren't painting the whole crowd as anything (though you try).

Totally wrong about sc "sports": From others' point of view which you don't understand....because you are on the inside of sc fandom....we are just talking about reality. What has happened on the field. There is no narrative. You can go read the final scores. You won't be able to read the last two years final scores of SPH-Schitts Creek though because SCH ghosted the football game in terror.

Back to the original point: Sign up to play SPH on the football field, or go back to beating up the handicapped teams in your conf not named Shelby and Burns.
SC 0 and whatever….. why SP care about a no -existent opponent? SP gained nothing from playing them in an RPI. Yes, looks like SC is gaining some momentum. Yes, yes, yes. Here comes the new conference response. Didn’t BMS change from one division to the other- Did BMS/SP 🍷 about that? Sorry, got thirsty.

Ah, I see the narcissist argument. Do what we say!

2-7…that is the record SC had against the 3 common opponents that are still on the schedule (EG, FV, NG) the 3 years prior to the football coaching changes. I added that third year because if I would have went the prior 2 years it would have been 0-6. My point is when the non conference schedule was made after the NCHSSA put SC in 4A based off the enrollment of every school in NC, NG and FV were very viable options at the time where SC’s program was. (2) larger county opponents that were at a similar place as our program was. I do wholeheartedly agree with you about getting 2 new non conference opponents because we are in a totally different place now than 2 years ago and they aren’t. I personally hope it is SP but if not as long as it is 2 good teams I am good with it. The one thing not playing SP has taught us, is that we can still be a good program, fill our stands up on Friday nights, and be respected outside of Belmont without SP.

Thanks for that little boost of self esteem on a Friday. You are exactly right, we are too good to be playing the current non conference schedule.

Does SP care?
It isn't about RPI. What team should have to travel to Asheville (or somewhere) just to get a football game?
I don't follow most of what you wrote. Get off the sauce at 9am, please.

Come on man....somebody over there picked the two worst teams to play. Oh wait....having parts of staff from both those teams and the knowledge that it is near impossible to win at one program and getting worse daily at the other....they knew exactly who to schedule. They scheduled weak non conf. teams on purpose and dropped the tougher ones.

"The one thing at playing SP" sentence makes absolutely no sense. In the two years you haven't played SP is when this "success" has come...how has that taught anything other than you have a weak road to travel? If you get respect from outside Belmont- good for you all/program. I will wait to see if that happens. I believe Burns and Shelby fans on here patronize you. They pat you on the head because they're not afraid of your team, and you all are complimentary to them. When you start beating them...you will get respect.

Thanks again for saying we are too good to play teams in your conference it is much appreciated. We love the compliments. You are obviously up Rulz behind to much to read what Burns and Shelby really say. Rulz what kind of toilet paper do you use? Never mind I will ask Deboer.

You won't find anyone on this site more critical of Crest or CC football programs overall. Rulz and many others have been on here a long time and that gives you a certain respect. But, it'd be hard to name someone who has challenged him more than I.
I give also give kudos when due. Shelby was a dominant program over SP in the 80s and 90s (overall). The reason why? They were better at football than SP more years than not. Maybe I'm crafting a narrative from stating the obvious over and over?

Well, I see we're still having fun with this. 😂

First, the 4A argument. Cramer didn't sit around, look at a map, and decide South Point was too close for comfort. Classification is determined by the state. The school didn't get to pick. So this whole narrative about Cramer running away from South Point because it landed in 4A is a little hard to follow. If you've got evidence Cramer manipulated its enrollment numbers, let's hear it. Otherwise, we're blaming a school for a decision it didn't make. Suggesting Cramer somehow manipulated its enrollment numbers to land in 4A is about as believable as the Earth being flat and every airline pilot being in on it. 😂

Now, on the football side, I looked back at the Cramer-South Point series. Eleven meetings, eleven South Point wins. Maybe two were reasonably competitive; the rest were pretty lopsided.

And this whole scheduling argument still doesn't make much sense to me. South Point wanting Cramer to keep playing after those previous results would be like Cramer calling Highland Tech once realignment happens and begging them to get on the schedule. What would be the point for either side? Let's be honest you want to play Cramer because of gate money and the thought you could continue to be big brother. Are we sure Cramer is the ones who decided to not play?

Cramer was 2-18 in the two years prior to the realignment. Why wouldn't they schedule teams they could actually compete with and build a program? And now that the program has turned a corner, we're supposed to believe the lack of a South Point game is some kind of admission of fear?

Maybe I'm naive, but did anybody honestly see Cramer making this kind of jump? I certainly didn't. Credit where it's due: kudos to Simmons and his staff. They've built something, and they've earned that recognition on the field. Apparently, we're supposed to believe the only thing standing between Cramer and legitimacy is a date on South Point's schedule. 😂

Since we're talking about what happens on the field, what about Lincolnton? Weren't they supposedly the team that dominated South Point in that August scrimmage? Cramer went out and beat Lincolnton convincingly. Seems like that might deserve a footnote in this measuring-stick discussion. Or maybe that part didn't make the director's cut. 😂

For what it's worth, I think every single person on these boards would have loved to see Cramer play South Point this year. I know I would have. But that didn't happen, so we're left debating hypothetical matchups. And honestly, if they had played and settled the argument, what fun would that be?

On the old SWC, do you speak from experience playing in that conference, or are you going off historical records? You describe it as a murderer's row, with all those mills feeding the schools and everybody playing .500 football. I'd be interested in seeing some of those records. I'm not dismissing that era; I'm just asking for something more than a nostalgic trip down memory lane.

Now, here's an idea. Since we're all apparently experts on who would beat whom, let's actually talk football.

South Point guys: What are your biggest strengths this year? Which position groups are your best? What do you do particularly well?

Cramer guys, same question about your team.

Let's put the hypothetical matchup together. Strengths, weaknesses, personnel, matchups. We can debate football instead of debating whether a game that didn't happen should determine whether a program deserves respect.

I'm all ears. And I promise not to require a notarized permission slip from the 5A board. 😂

Consider this my courtesy flush.

I love the logic: We shouldn't be able to and nobody thought we could compete with SP....but when it's hypothetical....let's take a look! LMAO.
One thing is clear by the way you talk about/around it: you did not play in the old SWC.

If you & the sch faithful want to think that a (basically) 7 on 7 one half of ball is the same thing as a complete football game. with offense, defense, special teams, toughness, grit, X and Os, etc. ...well that tracks. I would wager to say SP was trying out some new guys after having lost a huge senior class from the previous year; a class that ate up a lot of playing time the previous few years. I, again, would advise you to schedule these games for play before you TALK: crest, kings mountain, ashbrook, hunter huss, a large private school from CHLT, the #2 6a playoff seed in non conf play, the #9 5a playoff seed in non conf play and the #5 4a playoff seed in the non conf. play before you go pretending you would have liked to have seen the game this year. Or you could schedule just ONE of those teams to play per year. You wanna know how things would match up? At best you go 2-6 vs. that crowd.....likely 1-7.

None of schitts creek high can "understand" why sc doesn't want to schedule SP in a football game. You do understand it, as you just admitted and gave reasons why it is out of the question that the two programs should play.

We can't really debate football on here. It's he said/schee said. Everybody who knows just a LITTLE bit about football knows the correct answer to the outcome.
Yall didn't want to play on the field. You want to talk about it afterward. That and a nickel will clue you in on why your football program gets no respect.

Well, you’re right, I didn’t play in the old SWC. ShinyTurd was playing at Clover in the 2000s. But I genuinely enjoy history, and I’d actually like to learn more about that era.

As for the hypothetical, I never said Cramer would beat South Point. I asked both sides to talk about their strengths, personnel, and potential matchups. You responded with a prediction that Cramer would go 1-7 against eight other teams. That’s quite a scouting report.

My favorite part is saying football can’t be debated because it’s all he said/she said, then immediately giving us your own hypothetical record. Apparently, hypothetical football is fine as long as you’re doing it.

So let’s try this again. South Point guys, what are your strengths this year? Best position groups? Difference-makers? What does this team do particularly well? Cramer guys, same questions.

Let’s talk football. Personnel, matchups, strengths and weaknesses. Surely there’s more to the 2026 Raiders than a list of opponents and a prediction pulled out of a hat.

I’m all ears. And no, you don’t have to sign a contract with Cramer to answer.

I’ll read em later, wife’s gonna let me out of the house and get up to see Maiden v. Newton-Conover. Even if it’s 4A ball. 😆

Very interesting this take of yours....
so you want kids to go to SC who live at Pinewood elementary all the way to Cramer woods?
That's a span of 21 miles. They should have called stewrt cramer the "Gypsies" because they of the transient and nomadic make-up.
Belmont didn't need another HS. Meth Holly needed one....and there is still plenty of bad real estate they could've put that HS in where it should be today...much less 16-17 years ago when those same p

At least DeBoer is honest about what a large contingent of Raider faithful thinks. You have asked if SC hate SP, no, we don't; but we do get exhausted of hearing the lunatic fringe throw :poop: our way any chance they get.
