Gate City at Graham 1pm Today

Graham and Gate City haven't played since 2014. This is an old Region 4 rivalry from way back in the day when they were both in the old Southwest District. Gate City is a tough opponent and they have good coaching. Its going to be hard hitting at Mitchell Stadium today. Hopefully the G-Men can get the win and advance.

I don’t think the GMen get another 70-0 butt kicking like they did in 2014 from Gate City. Gate City will come to win & I hope the GMen play a smart hard fought game and win!

I'll be watching this game today on nfhs hopefully. Will say i'm pulling for Gate City as i'm tired of playing against the same teams in the playoffs every year practically. lol Good luck to the gmen and pray for no injuries.

Another guy posted on the other board, if Ridgeview & Graham win today, 7 of the 8 teams are the same as last year’s regional championships. I’m okay with playing the same teams as long as the GMen advance, lol. We have to get through today first before looking ahead to next week or even the one after that. A lot of football to be played before C meets D. One game at a time, one week at a time! Can’t be caught looking ahead or you’re likely to go home.

yes it is alot of ball to be played yet. Appo has played Glenvar 5 times in the past 6 years/ Would be nice for the vhsl to switch up the semi final and let c play a or b instead of d.

Graham played well. Defense looked good and O Line did a great job of opening some holes for Clements. Graham really cut down on penalties to. Hopefully, we can keep it going as a scary opponent is coming to Bluefield next weekend, and they have a lot of weapons.

Ridgeview will be a hard out for the GMen, best passing team we’ve faced all year. I trust our coaches to have those boys ready. Rex Bradshaw & Dennis “Snake” Palmer will make sure the defense is ready for whatever Ridgeview throws at us.
