• Catlett confirmed that cowbells will be allowed at EverBank Field, but he would prefer fans follow the guidelines set forth by the SEC this summer about when the ring them. The first time he addressed the subject today, though, he said, "We're going to let them bring the cowbells to our game, and they can ring them any time they want to."

Especially since Mike Slive will be there. On one hand, it's a good opportunity to show him and the country that we can "do it right". On the other hand, there are no real rules at this bowl regarding cowbells and this might be our last chance.

The only thing we know is that the bowl official asked us to please not ring them during play (SEC rule) and that we are welcome to bring them in.

I say we wait for a third party (Stricklin) to figure this one out and respect his decision. Trust me, he knows better than we do what's best for the University and the cowbell's future. I would hope that all Bulldog fans would do the same.

technically, we're already outside the rule's jurisdiction. the rule applies to artificial noise in your home stadium. and just to add to that, we are the designated "away" team in this game anyway. since the GB prez says ring them when you want, clearly it's a pass. we don't need to ring with restriction at all.

unleash the cowbells on defense, still I would try to concentrate on yelling on 3rd down moreso than ringing...i'm also looking forward to the ringing in sync with stadium music. should be a nice day of cowbell traditions of old and new.

It sounds too dang awesome when we do it responsibly. The transition from ringing to low-pitch yelling could easily become as much a trademark as the cowbell itself, and we know it has more impact on the field.

Watching the Arkansas game was amazing!! The cowbells were going crazy then when the offense broke huddle, it's like in unison all ringing quit and it went to a roar. Kind of erie for an opposing quarterback I would think!!
