Apparently journalists aren't allowed to go on vacation with anyone who has ever made the news. You and the conservatives are desperate as usual. Could this be a bigger nothing "story"?
An independent journalist is not supposed to get too close to someone they are covering. This is journalism 101. Not surprised you don't get it. Apparently many at CBS are vey upset at what she did because they realize this plays into continued distrust of the main stream media.

Congressional investigations should start soon on this BO/King vacation story though I'm not sure why.
My strong hunch is if Chris Wallace vacationed with Trump, these guys would have a very different opinion.
Why would she be "covering" BO? to see what he does on vacation?

He is right, CBS came out with a statement saying everyone loves Gayle King. The reality is that is a huge black eye for CBS and only feeds the narrative of an insular bubble between journalists and the politicians they love, thus coverage that does not tell us the real facts.
Does she still cover the Obamas? If so link me up, I'd enjoy reading about the fun they had on the boat. Bigly.
My God, this is not hard to understand. She covered the Obama White House for 8 years. This taints all of her coverage. This taints CBS News. You know nothing about journalism. A journalist is supposed to be neutral and fact driven. She has destroyed that tenet. And from now on, if she is critical of any Republican, they can simply point to her lavish vacation with the Obama's as proof of her untrustworthiness.

Having a beer is fine. Having a dinner is fine. Going on a lavish vacation is far, far different. Even as stupid as you are these differences are easy to recognize.
I think it's pertinent if not the responsible thing to point out when it happens. With that said, Obama could get caught fvcking a 7 year old boy and both those clowns not only would defend it but would find some way to blame republicans.
I'm amazed at either the dereliction of CBS or King's stupidity in this matter. With the media held in such low regard for trustworthiness, she pulls this stunt. With so many claims of fake news. You would think the media would be extra cautious about stuff like this. It only feeds people's already preconceived notions.
My daughter worked for ABC in DC. She firmly believes she was the only conservative in the newsroom.
