I figured we take 2 RBs, Rajon Neal and Griffin. But now that Ballard is on board, I wonder if the staff ends up taking 3.

Sidenote: I think Matthew Wells will be a bulldog, but end up on the defensive side of the ball.

I don't think this effects Griffin at all. We are losing 3 senior RB's and only have 2 freshmen and Elliot to replace them. And like I have been saying for 3+ years, I don't think Elliot is the answer. Ballard gives us a veteran with power and Henry will give us some speed. Then we will have Conner/Perkins as redshirt freshmen. And the hopefully Neal/Griffin as true freshmen.

I had huge questions about him before his knee operation. He was a decent prospect who got an early FSU offer and the all of then sudden he was a 4star with a lot of hype. Just look at his stats from HS. Anytime they played a decent team he got shutdown. A big time prospect playing at such a low level of MS football should dominate even behind a poor offensive line. Then I read Orgeron's assement of him in "meat market". He basically questioned his toughness and wondered if he was physical enough to be an every down SEC back. He has good quickness and decent speed, but he's not a 4.4 guy either. Throw in the knee and the fumble problems he had under Croom and again this year and I just don't expect much from him at all. I think Mullen, by recruiting Ballard and Henry, agrees.

was just not physical enough (running the ball or pass blocking). Apparently this staff feels the same, but maybe he could used in a different capacity on offense or maybe the defensive back field.

decent special teams guy. Apparently he has accepted that roll right now. Maybe he thinks next year is his year to shine.

why we don't line him up in the slot at WR at least for a few plays. He must not be able to catch the ball.
