The kid has "it". The future is very bright for him.

Just to make 4.6.3's day, someone should start a "Gebbia sucks and why didn't they just run the damn ball???" thread.

Reds up 27-7 at half. All QBs look good. Lots of TE throws, Gifford standin out on D. POB threw TD to Mikale

i think all 3 qb's have looked good. I would like to see qb competition go through fall practice and then a week or two before 1st game start name a starter. Just me though

Prefer to have a starter named within a couple of weeks after spring game. This would allow the starter to develop chemistry with the receivers and just let the rest of the team the have z leader. Don't card who the guy is, but sooner than later would be better imo

I think chemistry with the receivers is fine regardless of QB. The drops I saw were from inexperienced and less talented receivers and a couple by Englehaupt.

I would rather know who the starting OLine is. If you need chemistry it is there.

Overall not a bad day of football. The vanilla aspect was ok by me. I didn't like how guys were switching sides or how the teams were divided. In a vanilla situation I would have liked to see good on good.

Riley said Tristan Gebbia is headed for the Patrick O'Brien track. Will prepare as the third strong QB but they hope to redshirt him.

I was impressed with all of the quaterbacks
It is just spring and the D was pretty vanilla. On the flip side of that was that we were rotating a bunch of O linemen around so it would have been tough to have much continuity on the O line. We'll know more by the middle of October but this was fun to watch.

I'meant sure that the Defense was not challenging, but for a high schooler facing a 1st team Big 10 defense on 14 practices, he looked really good. Could be similar size as Joe Montana and hopefully same in ability as well. Count me as a fan.

Gebbia is our QB of the future, im sure of it. OBrein will do some good things but Gebbia will be the one that gives us a shot for the titles.

Count me in the impressed column. Extremely pleased with what I saw from all of the QBs.

But did any of them show the 'heart' that TA had those last 4 years?
Actually, I guess all 4, and they can run - maybe not 80; but as many or more for 12-23 yards ( scrambling not looping back ). I get what your saying; after yesterday, it just seems we got caught in some weird trap in recent years, searching for that running qb, and tied to one guy. No more !!!

I've got nothing bad to say about TA. If we want to complain about the lack of competition at the position or the ability in those that won the starting job then I say the blame rests on the staff that was responsible for recruiting the position.
