Where does FSU fit in the big picture?

"I like FSU. I grew up a FSU fan being from Maryland. I love everything about FSU. I am going on my official visit on November 21st when they play Maryland. I hope they beat them by 50."

Why the animosity towards the home state school?

"Maryland is not a real program. It is in shambles, on the decline everyday. They just recruit players from outside of Maryland. They do not take care of their own people. They never offered me out of high school, prep school or juco. Everybody but them. Go figure."

We'll hear this from the MS recruits in the coming years regarding Ole Miss. Hopefully, the "WR on any street corner in Florida" theory (or whatever it is) will come to bite them in the ***. If their coaches turn their noses up to MS players like their fans pretend to do, that could easily hurt them in their own backyard down the road.

No need to worry about that as he's not even taking an official visit here. He's cut it down to FSU, UNC and Ole Miss. I think he ends up at UNC.

I'm simply saying its risky business if you lose focus on the talent within a close radius to your program. If you can find talent out of state, fine. But, as long as your name isn't USC, ND, Texas, Alabama, Florida, etc. where you know you can rely on out of state talent every year, you might want to pay attention to the low-hanging fruit close to home for insurance when the distant recruits aren't biting.
